Dear HIZ,it takes 3-4 weeks on average to get an email regarding PPR-2.but in some cases it can be quicker(2 weeks) and can go beyond 4 weeks. But dont wory you will get an email from visa officer very shortly for PPR-2.Just get your passport/s ready.

It was mainly regarding my travel history, as i have travelled alot to diff countries in last few years. I was a pleasant experience, we joked, we laughed, she questioned, i answered. What kind of guidance are you looking for? Collectively the members of this forum can resolve most of your queries.

For guidance on how to fix your resume or how to look for a job you can contact one of the free new immigrant service centers in your area once you move here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/map/services.asp

You can reach out to any of the members here, if you would prefer to have a one-on-one conversation through PM or over the phone.

@ goingnorth,
I attended IOM pre depature session at Lahore last sunday,The IOM lady there insisted that you can take as much money as you like for the 1st time but if over CAD $10000 then you have to DECLARE it.She said this exception is for immigrants(landing 1st time).

I could not get your point about DECLARE if more than 10000 CAD$? Can you please update where it has to be declare ? Is it 5000 CAD$ for all family or for single person ?

Declare at Canadian port-of-entry. Any amount of cash over $10,000.......declare to Canadian Customs.

You will get this form on the plane: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e311-eng.pdf

You need to mark that you are carrying more than C$10,000 on the little box.
