Alhamdullilah, got our passports back on 23th oct after a long 3 years and 10 months process almost...

But i observed on the COPR of my elder son, last alphabet of his name is missing it says "Muhammad Ibrahi" instead of "Muhammad Ibrahim" but on the visa stamp on passports there is no issue.

Please advise what to do now, will this create problem at landing? My visa expires at 26 July 2014

Congratulations mate
missing letter of name is totally not a issue nor error. it just the max alphabets can be shown in a field when printed. On landing immigration officer will see full name of screen.
if you feel it is error, even then no need to worry....immigration officer will correct it.
Wish you safe and comfortable journey.

You can sponsor them at least after one year when you submit your first income tax return in Canada.

Dear Kamee79,
yes, I landed last year july with family (2kids) and landing experience was very smooth and we completed every thing in 25min.
Well, as far as your family circumstances are concerned you have to make a bold decision, but my suggestion is you bring your family here with you and complete your landing for PR cards. Atleast make things sure for those with issued visa.
Well, there are multiple ways to bring or sponsor your parents i.e permanent residence application, super visa application or even visit visa application, but every thing need time to conclude.
Well, I am confident and pretty sure that one can sponsor parents for short visa, if have sold/valid reason to visit. you does not need to wait for a year or tax assessment. I know one person in this forum and one my friend (at job) sponsor his mother.
Jobs......alot of survival job and if you have 2 or more kids they will help you to survive too...
Hope it will help you to take decision........
Regards

"file awaiting further review" WHEN 2ND OPENION IS REQUIRED FROM OTHER OFFICER
"file awaiting officer review" FIRST REVIEW FROM OFFICER AFTER BGC OR AFTER MR
" currently undergoing background checks" IN PROCESS OR STARTED PROCESSING
" background checks outstandinding" BGC NOT YET STARTED
Are you sure! BGC is complete for the file awaiting officer review? Cause I also received file awaiting officer review reply on 30 April 2013 and then no response after that.....!!!!!

dear all
congrats to all who have moved to the next stage of processing.
i will b leaving on the 1st of november to toronto.
i have a query:
i attended IOM session and there i was given accompanying goods list and goods to follow list. i wanna know if the list is long and i need another form to list all the things is it ok to photocopy the pages and add it to the original forms or should i just use a blank paper?
further more is it possible to get the original forms for any place.
secondly i will be carrying around 18000 CAD in cash with me. we r three family members. two adult and one kid. is it ok to carry this much money or will i have to declare it at the point of exit and entry.
regards
