what do you mean by high income category as this is the first landing?

if the amount is transfered through bank account than 50,000CAD will not put him in high income category???

Please clear my understanding. Thank you

Canada has certain benefits for low income families, which you will loose if you are categorized in high income.

The method of determining this is based on some factors and a cutoff value is determined based on your family size.

If you have more than LICO (Low income Cut-Off) amount you will not get the low income benefits.

Dear Friends,

I need your help no below matter. I have received PPR1 yesterday i.e on 11-september-2013. In that PPR1 they have asked me to follow below mentioned step.

Step 1: Submit the documents listed below to our office in London. (These instructions do not apply to
accompanying family members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship, because they will have to travel on
their Canadian passports.)
1. Clear photocopies of your passport and the passports of each accompanying family member. The
passports must meet the Passport Specifications on page 2 of this letter because these are the passports you
will use to travel to Canada.
2. The Updated Information Chart on page 3 fully completed for you and each accompanying family member.
Submit these three items. within 30 days of the date of this letter (or the date of the email if you received this by
email). All items for you and your accompanying family members must be submitted together in one package.

QUESTION-1
You can see in the last para graph which I have highlighted. “SUBMIT THESE THREE ITEMS” . They have only asked for two items. I believe this is a mistake in the letter. Please correct me if I am wrong.

QUESTION-2
DO I need to send COLOR COPIES of passport or BLACK AND WHITE will suffice the requirement?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for the info. Can you please also let me know how much amount a person should carry to fall under low income brancket? we are 4 i.e. 2 adults, 1 child 5 year and 1 infant 1.3.

I will highly appreciate your reply.

Also if the person will take with him in cash less amount and later after a month he will receive 50,000CAD via bank transfer to account will he still be in low income category?

First of all CONGRATS.
You see they have asked for three items, (1) Clear photocopy of your passport (2) Clear photocopies of the passports of each accompanying family member (3) Updated Info Chart, so don't worry send these immediately. They will ask for Two photographs each with PPR-2. Secondly, black n white copies will do but these should be legible.
