I have done my medical on 15 January 2013 n waiting for ppr. On 2nd August I received reply of my CSE that my file is with an immigration officer for review but on 3rd September I received GCMS showing that criminality check is still not started.
Now any one can please tell me that if criminality check is in process or done , is it mentioned in the file or not. If it is not started yet what review is going on on my file
Regards

Hi everyone,
I am a new comer to this forum.
I would like to know the generic/standard timelines for the complete process, starting from receiving the PER till PR issuance for Pakistani nationals, applying under FSW2013.
Appreciate a feedback from the experienced members on this forum.

BR/Hussain
u r under new system, therfore no one can predict. but still if it is very very fast it should take 18 months at least even some are getting less than this for pakistni applicants only as securty checks takes 6-10 months in pakistan

Please advise...

I have booked PIA flight, they allow us 28 kg each person, any can guide about the dimensions of baggage.

is there any restrictions.

MY PERSONAL INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL EXPERIENCE TELLS THAT THE DIMENSIONS OF LUGGAGE/BAGGAGE IS NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT, THE ONLY CONCENTRATED POINT IS THE NET WEIGHT.

Dear All,

Just log in after a long time...

Landed safely on 11th of August 2013, Alhamdolillah.

Landing experience was superb, immigration staff at Toronto airport was so humble and welcoming.. no need to worry about any PR documentation. If someone want to bring something later on then don't forget to maintain B4 and B4A forms.

Life in Canada is good if I can compare it with my country.

Advice to all those planing to land... don't forget to bring your parents prayers with you... telling you this b'coz it helps me alot in settling here... with-in the period of 20 days I did all my documentation got drivers licence and above all a very good and permanent job in a USA based company in Canada and its all because of my parents prayers.

Finding a job in Canada is very easy but getting it is really a tough task... I know loads of people here... most of them are my friends landed here 6-8 months before me still waiting for permanent jobs.

I suggest all, never give up and keep your hope alive... don't rush for job when u land... do your paper work first coz it takes almost 10 days to complete all that after that look for job.

Wish you all, all the best.

Dear Landed members
Are the PR card application filled while immigration process at airport or they should be filled early?

The first PR Card will be issued automatically as part of landing process.....you need to provide a Canadian address to the immigration officer at the airport when you arrive in Canada........the card will be mailed to that address in about 2-3 months roughly......

No need to fill out any forms, etc for PR Card when landing.

Use your passport and copy of landing papers to obtain sin number, and other ID's, etc after landing. Immigration will give you a stamped copy of your COPR which will show you landed as a new PR.

Usually passenger carry two types of baggage:

1- Checkin 2- Hand carry

1- for checkin baggage, total weight which you would carry is 28 KG - dimension is not important - locks are important - bag should be tough enough to be not damaged by flight staff during transfer to/from plan

2- for handcarry , try avoiding more than allowed weight(usually8-10 kg, plz confirm on your ticket) - Dimension is important

Dimension can found on PIA's website. Are not they allowing you two bags of 28 kg each?
