Pakistani Applicants waiting for PPR (Stage 1 or 2 letters) from CHC London

Seniors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have got Canadian Mail Address on my ECAS since my application started and it changed to Decision Made after PPR-1.

Is it the reason I haven't got my PPR-2 via email as it would be dispatched via courier?

Another question. Does anyone know if we go via a connecting flight route (Etihad and then American Airlines), will our entire luggage get scanned in London Airport? Will we have to receive all our bags in London Airport from Etihad airways and then put them on the American Airline flight so that they reach canada (please note that i am talking about the 23KG bags, not the hand carry bags).

Sorry if this isn't very clear and thanks in advance for any help.


Note: This is the route i'm referring to

Islamabad to Abu Dhabi <Etihad Airlines>
Abu Dhabi to London <Etihad Airlines>
London to Calgary <American Airlines>

if everything is managed by one companny and route is already defined from lahore to calgary......then its responsibility of Airlines to carry forward luggage to other connecting flight..........

if u r managing by yourself OR through engaging travel agency and bought tickets to upto England then at England u have to carry ur luggage by yourself and go through all process again while transferring to other connecting flight..........whome tickets u bought by yourself for tavelling from England to Calgary

in above mentioned route American airline in managing route and they will charge fair collectively from Lahore to Calgary.........so u dont need to do all formalities again for 23 kg luggage.......its responsibility of American airline that they will transfer ur luggage to next connecting flight

AoA,

Ur luggage will be handled by the airlines, and u will collect it in Calgary, provided the route above is connected by the Etihad Airline.

Remember, u need to have a transit visa, to travel through America.(I think AA flies to JFK Airport first, and then heads to Canada)

Well, its the responsibility of American Airlines to transfer your baggage in London but let me tell you one thing. If you will travel through American Airlines you must have a US visa because it will travel via any US airport. On the other hand, the best route is the following:

Islamabad To Abu Dhabi by Etihad
Abu Dhabi To Toronto by Etihad and Finally,
Toronto To Calgary by Air Canada or by any other Canadian airline because it will be a domestic flight.

Yes... I can also confirm this... No US Airport is involved in this route... plane will directly land in Calgary...

Leaving on Sept. 5 on almost the same route except Islamabad to Bahrain to London via Gulf Air... Ticket of this route is issued by American Airlines so they are responsible for handling baggage at London....Will share my experience of this route....

Thank you for confirming this, it makes a lot more sense now. I'm also confused about one more thing. Today i went to a travel agent and asked about the charges of carrying an extra 23KG bag from ISL -> Calgary via the american airlines route. According to the agent the cost will be 250$ for the second bag. I then went to American Airline's website and there the cost of the second bag is listed as 100$. So if the website says the price is 100$ why is the travel agent persisting on it being 250$? This doesn't make sense.

So can someone please confirm the cost of carrying a second 23Kg bag in the following route

ISL -> Abu Dhabi -> London -> Calgary
