My advice is to open USD account in your bank. This will also help people to save there hard earned income in secure shape as in May dollar will further strengthen in Pakistan. This means Rupee will further devalue.

Hello everyone..

For all those travelling to Toronto on PIA, I have a few excess baggage vouchers.. I have PIA awards points for 4 vouchers... basically one voucher means one extra piece of luggage ( up to 28kg) .. I think PIA is charging about $170 for an extra bag.. I will offer a 20% discount to whatever PIA is charging...

Not sure about the $170 charge, I was charged Rs 9000 for an extra bag (28kg), which is way less than $ 170

Allah blessed me with a baby girl. As per CHC last email, they gave me 60 days to send new born docs …now I am facing a problem on passport… in Pakistan now these days they are take 60 plus days for urgent passport … can I send all the other docs as requested by CHC without passports (photo copy) which I haven’t received yet. I will add a covering letter with detail explanation of the situation…

i will send passport photo copy ASAP once i received

i have already done my medicals in November 2012 only my wife's X-ray and new born medical left

dear all,
just a piece of info for those seeking passport renewal on urgent basis because they are waiting for PPR as well..
considering the awful delays at passport offices accross pakistan due to stationery issues, i was a bit shaky too whether to submit passports for renewal or just wait for ppr1 to happen soon.
But passport office has started renewing the passports by stamping the old ones with a renewal stamp if there are ample number of blank leaves in the book.
there are two plus factors in this plan
1: applicants seeking renewal dont have to pay anything in terms of renewal fee because passport office is not issuing the new book
2: the process of renewal is really quick, only within a week you get your passports renewed.
I submitted our family's passports today and will get them back with renewal stamp on friday...
so thanks to Allah my mind is relieved of the dilemma of whether to get the passports renewed or just hope that Ppr letter will come soon.

These extensions in passport expiry with stamping not gonna work with western countries & specially for PR visa. I personally in same situation already received PPR-1 but waiting for receiving renewed passport. I sent CSI to VO for seeking advice if they will be fine stamping my old passport with stamped-extended expiry, they denied straight forwardly & ask to wait for renewed passport.

Hope this clarifies.

I sent shedule A background decleration forms along with medicals on NOV 2012. in the personal history section I ony accounted the last 10 years activity.

Now on March 2013 i got an email from immigration office asking for new shedule A background decleration forms , accounting for all the activities since the age of 18.

Now i have resent the forms leaving no gaps in personal history. Please could any one tell me that is this a bad sign? OR its common that visa office can asks for additional documents after medicals.

i had exact problem and interestingly i also sent background declaration form in nov 12 too along with medicals...
since the form gives the option of filling since 18yrs or last ten years whichever is more recent.. so i went with 10 yrs history ... they contacted me in dec and asked for refilling and resending this form which i did...
they asked for a four months period for reviewing the data before further developments... since then waiting...
i have been chilling since then hoping that there is no further problem and all is sorted out.
