I am also having ecase problem for last 1 week. But the note in red under the ecase says the problem might be resolved in few days... My passport is in CHC Islamabad for visa for more then two weeks now.. but i think the delay in visa has nothing to do with the ecase issue.. I hope we will get soem good news soon.
Thanx ebaad :) I hope you too get the good news soon :)

What airlines are good .... i ve heard that PIA has a very bad flight experience.....

My medical is expiring on 10 April so i ll b rushing real fast once i get my visa done.

Well my advise is to get the fares of 3 airlines i.e. Emirates, Etihad and Turkish Airlines. These 3 have excellent service (and the fares are also not too much different from PIA but the services are very very much better) and the only difference with PIA is that don't drop you to Canada directly.

Here, let me give examples of few of my relatives who have traveled with PIA from Canada. The first one's flight was delayed by 16 hours (more then the whole duration of PIA's direct flight from Pakistan to Canada). Another one got a delay of 12 hours. On the other hand, those who have traveled with Emirates, Etihad or Turkish Airlines, there only botheration was to stay 4-5 hours on Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Istanbul for their next flight otherwise there overall experiences was 5 star. If you calculate the duration of an indirect flight from these airlines and assumes the same delay from PIA, then you will reach Canada in lesser time despite the fact that you will be on-board on an indirect flight so whats the benefit of PIA? Now, in the light of these experiences, the decision is yours.

Hi Friends. I need some important help on urgent basis from all of the people who have submitted their PPR. Please inform me if anyone submitted a proof of funds in the shape of a joint account where the other account holder was not the accompanying person/spouse. For example a bank account with brother. sister, father mother etc.

Does anyone from this group has a solid evidence about this? please share it with me and i will be very thankful. I need this information on urgent basis.

Dear forum members

Dear Thunder,

Yes you can. As the funds can be electronically be transferred to Canada after opening Account there.

Do maintain amount till u through the bank/Sin/Health cards

Rock

the immigration office at airport when you land can require to see the proof of funds. so at that point in time you need to have it in cash or in the shape of a bank draft....bank statements have been known to get rejections. you can refer to Qorax on this as well. i got this point from him...

u can take cash as u wish but u have to take the remaining amount in shape of dd along with u b/c if they ask to show the funds at the time of landing and if u don't satisfy the officer at bso then they may revert u ( god forbid ) see the landing procedure post by qorax ,all the required funds are supposed to be available with you at the time of landng.

As per my knowledge it is acceptable, but for example, if u have 10,000/- dollar in joint account with your brother, it will be considered as 5,000/- , if three persons joint account than it will be divided with three,

i would recommend to send at re-london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca, may be in Subject - Urgent: PPR-1 e-mail subjectreference and ask LVO that if they received or not and mentioned that as it was written in stage-1 letter that 6 weeks require to send stage-2 instruction. may be better to asked if they need PPR-1 documents again so in this way you may get clear picture.

Good Luck
