Hi....need urgent advice

My travel agent now told me that my passport is expiring in may, whereas intternational rule to travel is you must have atleast a 6 month valid passort.

The problem is that my Visa is expiring on 30 march...

My passport number is on CORP as well....

I have no option left except getting a fresh passport....

Will my fresh passport make any difference on landing?

My was the same case, my passport was expiring on Apri 2013 and visa was expiring mar 2013. I made successful landing with the same passport . The rule of 6 months is for getting Visa(not immigrant visa) and not for traveling.

How to get an extension

I read in the forum a few months ago and someone travelled on it .If somebody have a valid visa in expiring passport h/she c'd get extension of the passport on request to concerned office .While in renewal previous pp is cancelled though it might affixed with newone.Obviously there is an option but how to avail it I don't know exactly but I think should contact their respective office.
