Sent my passports on 6th feb, from Lahore, received islambad on 7 feb @ 11:35am, and today on 9 feb @ 11.00am....received my visa and corp in Lahore....

How long is a permanent resident visa valid?

A permanent resident visa is issued for a period not exceeding the earliest expiry date of the following documents:

the medical results for you and your family members or
your or your family members' passport.
Important information. Permanent resident visas cannot be extended once issued. If applicants do not use the visas within their validity period, they must re-apply for immigration to Canada. Their sponsor will have to submit a new sponsorship application and pay new processing fees.


aoa,respected forum members to be honest after receving ppr1 i am confused.my kidzs are in o levels now ,there is no o levels in canada, if they will com after 3 years back to pakistan ,what wil be there standing and can they compete on open merit ?as we dont want to stay in canada for more than 3 years, and if kidz wil study there then we hav to stay 4 almost 7 years.and staying there for so long without havig job of ur professional status is quite frustratig can any one plz guide on these issues.

Brother, you have to mention the income you had in Pakistan OR anywhere in the World for 2011 and for 2012, till your arrival in Canada. They will calculate your returns on your World wide income. Whatever your income was, mention it in CAD. I did the same.
