Can you please tell me regarding visa. When ISB is issuing visa on PP is there any expiry date (validity) on that, if yes what is the date of expiry is that same as medical expiry date or different.

Wsalam.. To be honest I am not 100% sure as myself have not got it.. But what I have heard and read is that the visa expiry is same as the medical expiry date and you have to land definitely before your medicals expire.. Seniors can comment better on that..

So, I've to renew my passport as it is going to expire by Nov 2013

Thankfully, all family members' passports are not expiring before June-2014 (well ahead to meds expiry date).

But I've to suffer visiting Khi passport office. It's really a pathetic place :-X

How long is a permanent resident visa valid?

A permanent resident visa is issued for a period not exceeding the earliest expiry date of the following documents:

the medical results for you and your family members or
your or your family members’ passport.
Important information. Permanent resident visas cannot be extended once issued. If applicants do not use the visas within their validity period, they must re-apply for immigration to Canada. Their sponsor will have to submit a new sponsorship application and pay new processing fees.

Yes that indeed is a curse.......... Suggest u to get it renewed ASAP because first You can expect PPR-1 in two months time frame, secondly Hajj policy would be announced in mid march (expected) so u can expect lot of rush at PP offices.....

I need A confirm & sure Reply for kindly guide me on this:
How Much Money i need to show at the time of landing at the canadian airport
(cash / Demand draft) we are a family of four, so am i supposed to show $$22000
according to the chart on cic website? One of my friend showed only 4000$ and
some gold jewelry at landing. I shall be highly obliged, please guide

Thanks for info, any way I had got my family passports renewed even they had 7 months validity left and then completed the medicals. Same is with me my passport which is still valid and will remain until 2015.
If some one ca tell me I got my medicals done on 2nd Oct 2012, later last month they asked me to to carry out LV test / x ray which i completed on 31st Jan now what will be my medical date taken as. Oct 2012 or Jan 2013.

Send an email to Vo with all ur file info and revised email address. I have also seen a couple of applicants getting contacted by ISB CHC (upon delaying submission), for submitting PPs.

ALHUMDULILLAH; my e-case turn to Decision made, and I am waiting for my passports back from Islamabad Visa Office; please pray for our future life. I am planning to land Calgary Canada.
