I sent a CSi on 31st Jan. and recieved the following reply

In response to your recent enquiry, please be advised that the background checks are likely to take at least a further six months to complete. You will then be required to undergo a new medical examination once the checks are completed.

Metally I am closing this chapter of life, this would be my last message and I would not be updating the list any further.

My driving license of Pakistan is going to expire in march2013,I will land in toronto in feb2013.should I have to renew my license and then take authentication letter or go with it,as my license is 10 years old.? . In license branch or GPO's the renewal tickets will issues on 15 feb 2013.

You need to have valid liscence when you apply for CA driving liscence, I will suggest better get ur DL renewed before you leave and get Authentication letter as well. In case due to some reason you are not able to get CA liscence you have quite some time in hand. Get three years renwed its very simple procedure.

I can clearly understand your frustration and disappointment but keep faith in ALLAH, atleast we are better than those who are still waiting for medicals and initial stages even after so many years.

This process is quite lengthy but INSHALLAH all of us will be through soon. Dont lose hope. You are one of the most valuable members of the forum and I have always appreciated your efforts in keeping the list promptly updated..

Don't delay.. get it renewed. It will help you in future, even when you get here.. they won't accept your expired driving license for road test.
