Pakistani Applicants waiting for PPR (Stage 1 or 2 letters) from CHC London

Tickets are very expensive thanks to Rs vs $ parity. For a family of four they are costing cost of a few yr old mehran .

Anyway they costed me 320k for 2 adults and 2 kids for last week of Dec on PIA after a lot of haggling and research. My suggested approach is do some research online and then bargain with travel agents. I could have gotten these tickets for 290 k one month ago.

Tickets go up and down based on bookings done and cancelled by agents almost on hourly basis. Each booking without ticket issuance can not be held for more than a few days so the systems automatically cancels them. They have batch based pricing, like if they have 100 seats in Economy, airline will sell first 20 for Rs100, next for Rs110 and so on. These batches are called classes by travel agents, nothing to do with actual seating as that is determined by your check in time if not pre reserved. They do have a relation with your cost of ticket changes or in case of return ticket the validity of your ticket 1yr/5 months etc.

So if you keep on checking the airline website for tickets you can certainly get cheap tickets if you book early e.g. 3 months, but nevertheless you can keep checking and if someone cancels a ticket which is issued early in one of the lower prices you can take the advantage and ask travel agent to issue on same.
Another point is that one can get the agent to give a discount on price mentioned on website since airline keeps the commission to themsleves if someone buys a ticket online whereas if bought from agent then airline has to give a commission from the same ticket.

Dear Hifa,

Many thanks for sharing your hlpful thoughts. I just wanted to ask you that our Meds were finalized on 24th March 2012 and recieved at CHC London on 28th March. Once I said finalized, what I mean is that we went to DMP on 13 March but he asked for addiotional tests (I dont know which date he put on the forms while signing?).

What do you suggest my visa validity will this be 24 March or 13 March please comment. This is important for me because I am selling property and winding up so each day is important for me.

I got PPR 1 on 26th Sept and still waiting for PPR2. Sent CSE on 6th Nov but didnt get any reply. PPR 1 document was received by MAGSTE on 2nd Oct. Getting little worried now as it has been more than 6 weeks now. Please advise what to do.
