It isn't a good idea to carry so much cash with you. I would follow 80%-20% ratio. Like 80% in shape of DD/TC & 20% cash in hand. I don't know the procedure of bank transfers. Best you should make DD from any exchange company like dollar east & deposit it in your a/c there.

It may take a month to en cash/deposit the bank draft into your account, here in Canada. I submitted my Draft into TD bank Calgary on 22nd Sept. and the amount will be credited into my account on 16th October.

So, think carefully before you go for a draft. Atleast keep enough cash into your hand, i carried 35% cash n remaining for bank draft.

Hi guys Allhamdulilah yesterday i got back my passport from chc islamabad with maple leaf visa on it. It took just six days for them to issue visa .

You can carry cash according to your need. That's right it may take a month to en-cash a draft so you must have enough cash for a month or two atleast.

naveed bro did they ask for any identification(CNIC) for the delivery of passport? i mean sometimes we are not at home, would they deliver it to people at home? who received ur passport? do they deliver it to people at home without CNIC?
