Well their responses varies from case to case , here from this forum we have learnt that many MI-1 s received their PPR1 with in 3 to 4 Months .
If you see this specific case, Mr Ghulam Husnain sent RPRF on May 2012 and his last updated/additional document sent on June 2012. these verification aslo effect processing time .

Dear Cyma:
I agree with what you are saying but the additional docs they asked during June were on a/c of misunderstanding. They asked me to clarify why I did not mention my wife's UK address during 2000~01 whilst she was taking cert course from Manchester Metro Univ., therefore, they required me to submit her UK PCC for that period and updated Sch A background decl for my wife, since my wife had taken the course through distance learning prg, therefore, I explained to them the fact thru a letter along with proof of letters recvd from Univ. I recvd their email on 14th June and I replied to them on 15th June. Again this is not important, what needs to be seen is if the file is not undergoing review than how did this intrinsic query came out from the file and that also approx 40 days after receipt of updated docs at LVO.

Personally I am not that bothered or desperate but all I wanted to ensure that my children should carry on with their regular / professional studies from Aug 2012. After LVO reply I have decided to carry on with their studies here till I receive the visa.

Regards,

Hasnain

i am surprised to learn that the BC are still not initiated.Qorax mentioned in his post that the BC completion makes them send the medical request except for NEW DELHI visa office....but plz relax as all of us with mar/april meds are still waiting....who knows actually wats happening to our files and at what stage of BC checks we r under...(background/security)

Well reply recved from LVO is inconsistent with what is explained by our learned friend qorax in "Background Checks Explained". As per qorax post, medical request is issued after background checks and PPRs are issued after security and criminality checks.

I never asked LVO re status of my file, i just asked them to confirm whether they have recvd my updated docs and letters dated 30th April and 15th Jun. with confrmtion as to encashment of rprf because the ECAS is waiting for an earthquake. :)

I am not sure about Alberta laws but in Ontario people get driving license in weeks with authentication letter. 6 months is quite a long time

This post will help many of us, who are going to land in Calgary..

Dear Hasnain ,
We are just making wild gusses to justify ourself otherwise no one can predict what in their mind regarding our cases . And I understand your concern truely . Recently I finally got my daughter admitted in pre-school although I was very hopeful for my early PPR .so your concern for heigher education for your children are understable . I wish all of us get smooth execution of our cases as our many future plans are on stake because of this unpredictable delays
Best regards

It does not say anything about international driving license, it says

If a driver from a non-reciprocal country can prove they have two or more years driving history, they will be exempt from the GDL program.
and this will require a letter from our traffic department

Dear Arsalan,
I never wanted to be on Qorax seat ;) as I consider myself as an innocent applicant like you all :) but yes as per my perception we (MI-1) should not focus on medical dates but respective application category time lines. We have seen many 2009 July applicants received PPR1 so we will get it soon by end of August InshaAllah ([flash=200,200]http://After all You owe me a family dinner after that[/flash] :))

I request you all (Markon , Beckett, Imran, Arsalan and all MI-1 applicants ) keep in touch and share your procesing status with each other
Good Luck

P.S Happy Birthday Arsalan Wish you have next in Canada

Regards
Cyma

InshaAllah, agreed with your analysis. Applications timeline For MI-1 Applicants.

Dear Beckett
I sent CSE asking about my documents, RPRF and medical doc receiving, and got an urgent and detailed response. But as for file processing...it was just one line that its under routine back-ground check. So I think your case will be under same back-ground check. Dont worry....at this stage it is very difficult to predict next response time (However as per few friends projection end of august or start of September could bring some news)....be positive friend...
Thank you very much for your kind words! Although in my plans I was hoping I would get PPR in July. Obviously, that has not happened. Even August would be Ok!!
Best,
Beckett

How many people in the forum received PPR Step 1 between 10 July 2012 and 20 July 2012.
Any of them received the Step 2 letter as yet from LVO? I am so close to medical expiry and hoping to receive everything in the time frame.
