When did u send ur passports?? How long does it normally take for visa stamping....I guess I should start planning the big move now

What we have observed....average time is 10 days +/- 2 days
In our case, it was 11 days

I am an applicant of 2004 and did medicals in October 2011. I sent an email to London office on July 3, 2012 and received following reply on July 4.

Dear Applicant,
In response to your email, please note that your file is currently undergoing routine background checks. Whilst we appreciate that your medical examination results are due to expire on 13-10-2012, we are currently unable to advise when the checks will be completed.
Please note that no further action is required from you at this stage. We will contact you as soon as the results of the background checks have been received.

I am sending them email every month and every time I receive the same reply.

I had the nearly the same issue. There is no fixed time for completion of background checks. Normally it all goes well. All you can do is to wait and keep reminding them but after a reasonable interval. Hope for the best!

PPR1 docs received at LVO on 14th June...PPR2 on 4th July...

Sent them a query to check if they have received my docs and got PPR2 as a reply in less than 24 hours

All I wrote was that "my documents were delivered at your office on xx date, please can you confirm if you have received them. Also, could you please update me on the status of my application. Thank you for your support. Best regards, xxxxxx"

i got approval on reconsideration ... CHC admitted their mistake
i received that email on 13 June following that my ecas status changed to in process again from DM

when i will be advised for next processing steps... MR or updated documents....

I guess connecting from this forum was the most sensible thing ive ever done.. It actually gave me some real guidance and with the help of your support, i am enjoying this moment.. However, i havent sent my passports to ISB yet, will be sending them tomorrow inshahAllah.
Well, it was a long wait, since feb 2009 till July 2012.. imran01 can understand better as his process was older n longer than mine..
I am planning to depart for Calgary in September, inshahAllah.
