Keeping in light your Medical expiry date, i'm 100% sure the CHC will be considerate enough to make sure they award you the visa in time for you. It is just clerical delay between PPR1 and visa award since processing is over and they usually accelerate the process for those who have a medical expiry deadline approaching.

Stay calm and reserve your seats tomorrow about 1 week before medical expiry... all will work out!

Guys I found the following on web where a former visa officer is advising people not to order CAIPS unless it is absolutely necessary. Please check the link. Please comment if any body wants to. Thanks

Does checking the file status via CAPIS has any harm to my file?

Re: CAIPS check
IT is not wise to get your CAIPS file unless there is obviously some problem
with the processing, such as very lengthy delays beyond the published times.
Don't ask for it just to find out how things are going.

Re: CAIPS check
Thank you so very much for your kind reply. The only reason I wanted to check is because at the time of interview they told me that in less than 2 months I shall get my visa, but more than 3 months has passed and no news. When I contacted the embassy by email, was told that "the verfication of my file is not finsihed yet and is expected to be finished in Feb. 2004". I do not know why suddenly the process is prolonged.

Once again thank you for your reply and I would greatly appreciate to learn about your comments about my case.

Re: CAIPS check
Mr. Humphries, what is the reason for this? Is it monetary or does it affect
anything?

Re: CAIPS check
It is an inconvenience for the visa office and provides little useful
information when there is no problem to solve. Also, it is full of short
forms and local office terminology that is difficult to understand.

Pls dont mindmy ignorance...what is COA meeting? ,is this the same for which we have to email IOM for registration? I did register with them at the time of ppr1 ,i think, but no acknowledgement from them as yet.

Have you got medicals have been received line in your ecase status?

thats not fair. But we had very good experience in Islamabad with Dr.Nilofer and her all team, they were so cooperative.
They even call me agter a week of medical to plz come we will dispatch your medical in front of you.
And same was happend. At the same time they provide my photocopy of TCS recepit, and i confirmed through call after 5 days my medicals were received by someone on LVO.

Thats good , but v dont have any other option in karachi i think thats why these peoples do not treat good to us.

what does it mean that awaiting visa officer review? does it mean everything is going fine and back ground check has completed?
