Pakistani Applicants waiting for PPR (Stage 1 or 2 letters) from CHC London

Alhamdulilah----I received PPR2 yesterday.

Visa officer skipped PPR1 step and sent me PPR2 directly.

However, I need forum members guidance on one thing---- My passport is going to expire on 26-May-2013. I have also heard that as per international law, landing visa is not issued if your passport doesn't have a six-month's validity left.

What should I do now? Should I send passports to IslamAbad and let them speak or should I write back to visa officer and seek his/her opinion? Following is mentioned in PPR2 instructions:

The passports must be the same as
the photocopies submitted to London in Step 1. If you have obtained new passports, then you must start
again from Step 1.

Note: I have applied for passport renewal two weeks back.

I will appreciate feedback of forum members, especially from those who have passed through such situation earlier.

I do reside in PK--- why VO skipped PPR1 step?--- Allah knows better but, I guess , they skipped PPR1 keeping in view the fact that my passport is going to expire soon ( 26th May, 2013)

Yes, u might right. But I have received PPR-1 not PPR-2 though.

Bad news is I applied for renewal of passports (urgent) on 21st Feb but till date no issuance of the same due to unavailability of passport stationary for printing passports. They give me time till 15th of april which only delays sending required documents :

My medical was completed on 9-Jan-2013 and my status on CIC showing last update on FEB 2013 as Medical results have been received. Can any 1 guide me how much time do they usually take for issuing PRR-1.

Also my VO is JR

It varies case to case.

They will send u PPR once your background/security checks get completed.

I wanted to ask about my case from the seniors & Experienced ones.....

I successfully clearned my interview, and VO Told me that they would be sending me medical once i said them my spouse's docs, While i was in process of completing my spouse's docs, they sent an email to send them :

1. Police Certificate
2. Right of Permanent Residence Fee(RPRF)
3.Generic & BAckground forms
4. some other basic docs ....


- Shall I assume that some of the security checks are waived off that i was required to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee(RPRF)??
-Now I am waiting for Medicals since two weeks !

What are ur remarks on this ? (Seniors / Expd. members )

Has anyone from Karachi received their passports earlier than within 4 weeks? We have been waiting for more than 3 weeks now and the wait is causing real worries. Our ECas says DM and Canadian address is also appearing.

Would appreciate if anyone can respond.
