Dear All Friends and seniors,

I would like to extend an apology for my absence from this great forum. Well actually my father got ill and he was in emergency but Thanks to Allah for his blessing that he is feeling better now.....He might be going for a surgery this week or next that's why i was busy with him.

Well i would like to extend my heartiest congratulation to all who got their rewards in shape of PPR 1 n 2 and VIsa & COPR. I also wanna pray and extends my best wishes for Samsung and Sleo for their awaited PPR1.

I have 2 question. Please share ur answers if ya have any based on ur experiences..

I booked my ticket on 11th December from LHR-Dubai-Heathrow and---Calgary costed me 81500, with baggage allowance of 23 kg One Piece and 7 KG hand carry.I will land first and my family follows me in February 2013.

Q-1:
what about goods accompanied form B4E and goods to follow forms fillings? should i ve to fill these forms for my family as well or only for myself?can my family fill their own form on their respective landing day? like jewelry pics and receipts of jewelry and their goods?
Q-2:
i am carrying all the required funds with regards to POF in cash and bank draft forms so will that be ok with regards to my family's landing in February??

Dear Bro, which airline you have chosen for this route???, as its very cheap cost...would you like to share with us ???
Secondly in my opinion:
1) your family have to fill their own form, as during 1st time entry they declare all the goods as non-custom but not later-on.
2). As you know there is restriction to take more than CAD 10k during entry, and they may also ask your family to show their POF. someone who faced this situation can clarify this .... you may get help from below link or contact with Mr. Qorax

If you land first and you show them POF for you and your family. They will not ask your family to show POF as their system already have that information. May be they ll not ask about POF (some time they do not) but if you have more than 10,000 CAD, you have to tell them the amount because it ll be tax free money until the interest begin.
You have to fill the B4 and B4E form for yourself, your family ll fill only B4 form if they dont have following good or things. My advice, you should take responsibility of B4E, try to take jewelry and POF with you, keep out your family in these matters so they can complete their landing procedure in short time.

it is a long journey, i have thought about this route but the transit time is killing time. At dubai or Heathrow, you have to wait for 8 hours for your next flight, and i heard that at Heathrow, Passengers from Pakistan have to board and check again. (I heard not Confirmed, if anyone faced this issue, please share).

I am based in Dubai and did my medicals in April 2012 but havent recevied PPR. I sent a query and LVO replied that background checks are outstanding.
What is the experience of other Pakistani applicants. What is the average time from medicals to PPR?
Its been almost 7 months since medical. Is this normal?
I am supposed to be a normal law abiding citizen of pakistan with no connections with Zardari and hence a clean criminal record.

Yeah I checked online and with travel agents..I am not getting any tickets below 100,000 from karachi !

Dear friends,

I ve booked that one on 20th November, 2012 n at that time my travel agent gave me 2 options.
Same route on 24th December, 2012 cost was 1, 26000K
11 dec.same route 81500K.
its one way ticket.

due to xmis n new year there was no seat available between 11 December to 12 January, 2013 in this cost. According to travel agent tickets at 81500K will be available starting from 12th Jan, 2013 onward.

So thats why i booked the mentioned ticket as it was cheaper. I agree with ya all that in this flight, transit times are long at dubai 9 hrs and at heathrow 5 hrs...i dont mind with heathrow as 5 hrs are ok because i ll have to change terminal from 3 to terminal 5 but i opted this option because of economy.

Try to be a criminal and you ll get everything. ;D
You will get it soon because, your timeline is close to those whom are getting PPRs

Correct. I will further add that there is no restriction in showing more than 10k canadian dollars. However, if you are carrying more than 10k then you have to tell immigration officer about that. Further you may show all the required funds with you, in that case your family will just tell the immigration officer that the principal applicant (i.e. you, who have traveled earlier) has already shown the required balance for them also.

Well, this is not right. you only have to check your luggage at originating airport and will receive your luggage in Canada.

anyone here with military background? i wasnt a military officer but worked as a civlian with PAF. would that cause a delay? any ideas?

I've booked my tickets on Saudi Air Line for 23rd Feb 2013 from LAHORE TO JEDDAH. There I'll perform Umrah (InshaAllah). Then on 28th Feb 2013 I'll fly to LONDON (5 Hrs Wait at Heathrow Airport) then to TORONTO. It is costing me 75,000 for an adult and 65,000 for a child and the weight limit is 23 Kg.
