If you have old book type or a worn off computerized card license, it takes only one visit to get a new one for five years.[at least in Lahore what i know]. Only you need to take original CNIC and old drvr license to th SP traffic office.

Kindly make me correct if I'm wrong. We need to arrange international driving license and original pakistani license from here. We can get authority letter from Canada. Now kindly guide should I get international driving license now or after visa. What is the procedure and docs are required for intl. driving license.

to get international drvr lic you need to show original visa on your passport, your original Pak drvr lic, photocopy of your visa, prescribed form and fees. Apply to Sp traffic here in PAKISTAN. The letter you get from embassy is a verification of originality of your license. when you will apply in Canada for your canadian license then you have to deposit your Pak intnl drvr license + Verification letter from Pak embassy and that will not be returned to you afterwards.

I only bring normal driving license from Lahore (no int lisc) and got my verification letter from Pak embassy, tronto same day, fee was $20 plus $5 bank fee. For Ontario driving license I pay $85 (for knowledge test and lisence fee).....dox required were passport, License and verification letter. they check every thing in original but only keep original verification letter and passport & driving license copy.

By the Grace of Almighty ALLAH, I received my passports back from Islamabad. May ALLAH help us all in acheiving our goals and also help us to be on right path. I pray for a speedy process of all those who are waiting for their PPRs and Passports.

My youngest son's Given name is Muhammad Ibrahim and on landing document it is printed Muhammad Ibrahi. "m" is missing. On his counterfoil/VISA on passport, the name is complete and even on my landing paper, under accompanying family members list, his name is complete (IBRAHIM).

What to do now????????

I asked my consultant to contact LVO and explain the situation to them. If this is a printing error then it should be ractified. If it is some kind of limitation, then atleast i should have some thing in written to show on POE to avoid any mispah/problem.

bro i also faced the same situation with my name. i emailed them and they requested to email scanned copy of bio page of passport and COPR. now i am waiting for their response. write them CSI and they will let u know how to get it rectified.

my three freinds have already moved to Canada this year and every body got thier international license and authentication letter from the traffic sp office but thier efforts were use less as the canadian authorities do not accept this. The only document which is acceptable is the authentication letter from the Pakistani embassies in Canada. You have to send your original drvr license along with their application form downloadable from websites of the embassy and pay their fee.

Requirements for Pakistani Driving License Verification

- Please bring/send your original valid driving license issued from a driving licensing authority of Pakistan.
- Fill up the required form. (Please fill up the form with the data provided on driving license only. In case of any difference between particulars mentioned in the driving license and Pakistani passport, fill up the form according to the particulars mentioned in the driving license and give a seperate note regarding the changed particulars mentioned in the Pakistani passport at the right bottom corner of the form on blank space available. See example)
Note: Please note that the Consulate General may send the driving license to the issuing authority in Pakistan for verification.

Note: Applications can be sent by mail along with all required documents, fee and a return pre-paid, self-addressed courier envelope.

Note: Fee is acceptable in the form of Bank Draft, Money Order, or Certified Check in the favour of Consulate General of Pakistan. However, to facilitate the applicants, Habib Canadian Bank's booth at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Toronto, prepares bank draft and charges $5 fee. The Bank also aceepts debit or credit cards and cash during the document submission timings ie 0915-1215 hrs.



An ATM facility has also been made available at the Consulate General of Pakistan for the visitors. Visitors who intend to pay fees for consular services in cash during application submission hours may use the ATM facility.
