Finally, I also booked my tickets with Turkish Airline for Rs. 71,600/-. I am flying on 1st June, Insha Allah.

Insha ALLAH, I will finalize my ticket tomorrow. I will purchase either PIA tickets on 12 May or Turkish on 13 May.

Guys, an comments about PIA airline?

I know Turkish airline is great but PIA is direct flight LHR- Toronto, I have kids with me that's why I am considering PIA

Bhai don't consider PIA.........I m keeping a close check on it since December..........I m visiting airport once every 2 weeks......each time either pia is delayed by at least 10 hours or more.........2 times it was cancelled and merged with flight on next day......

so Bhai go with any other airline but not PIA! at least not to Canada 8)

looking for emirates flyers..........are laptops/ladies bags allowed apart from 7kg cabin baggage

yes beside a carry on luggage of 7 kg u can carry a separate bag for laptop or ladies purse.

normally we don't carry exactly 7 kg in carry on luggage......we carry up to 10 kg

u can carry either a laptop in a separate bag or a ladies purse or simply a small bag or cross bag or back pack.......which must not exceed 3 kg. because it is understood and expected that a laptop with charger weighs around 2.5 to 3 kg.......so if u r not carrying laptop then still u can carry a bag and anything inside it like cloths or anything......but must not exceed 3 kg.

Sp canadamylove and khizar and zrm.b in touch so v cud of any help to eachothr in one way or another or in a virtual moral support... Am planning to leave in sep or oct so i hv plenty of time since than... But if u remember ur sis than u can contact me thru email so vl hv some help frm ur xperience.. for 1st time immigrants the CASH amount they can take is US$10000 per person. but normally people take up to US$20000 in cash. no one asks and no one searches and no one objects. u can take as much u can but the CASH limit is US$10000, rest u can make draft or check or else.

at Canadian airport if its more than CAD$10000 in any form or combination, u just have to declare it to cbsa.

no buddy........even there is no official link for USD5000 limit. its just in news. not on state bank website not on fia website.

I have discussed it personally with a FIA person at Karachi airport.

I think there will be many travellers on that date........its too early to find anyone.....

and its not Karachi or lahori thing..........u know the fact..........even from Karachi I still haven't found a single person travelling on my travelling date to Toronto......that is on 8th april. even though u think Karachi people are active on forums.....but I haven't found anyone......but I m sure and I m hopeful to find many travellers on airport....it is that people don't want to share their plans or wat ever.....but its really surprising.

if u calculate the amount of passports every day chc is dispatching........and on other hand u find not a single traveller going on ur date.........u start imagining what these guys are doing with passports? aren't they flying? aren't they interested in flying? if yes then where are these passports going? where are these lots of people? not a single person flying on my date? amazing!

so don't worry about it........u will find travellers. Turkish is currently number one choice due to reduced cost.......so its highly possible u will find travellers.......at least on airport
