FYI,
icici and sbi are Indian banks, no benefit to Pakistanis in Canada.
Free personal banking is also offered by banks like Tangerine, PC Financial (these are Canadian)....and/or credit unions.

Other Canadian big banks are: TD, Royal Bank, CIBC, BMO, Scotiabank.....

Yesterday My brother reached Canada. He was telling me, Alhamdulillah Canada airport per koi masla nahi hoa , no funds check not asked any question. Canadian Immigration officers were very friendly. He just signed the COPR…
BUT Karachi airport per us k sath masla hoa…he was telling ….. his goods Weight exceeded 2 KG …bhai ko loader ne bataya to bhai ne usey 500rs deye to bhai k pass 3 bandey aye or bhai ko pressure may lay ker ek room may lay gaye k tum ne usey paisey q diyey….My brother is very innocent .bhai bohat dar gaye k itni mushkeel se visa laga ha koi masla na hojaay… or I think wo bandey bhi pehchan laayte hain apnay shikar ko ..Bhai bohat dar gaye they. Phir un bandoon ne bhai se paisey mangey to bhai ne un ko bhi 1000rs, 1000rs diye to bhai ki jaan choti .so friends please be care full at karachi airport….

Bhai I checked with almost all good air cargo services....not ship.

they are charging way too much.

now I m taking my excess baggage via Emirates. for excess baggage they are offering 32KG piece for 158 CAD$......that's roughly PKR 12950.....which equals PKR 405 per KG. and the advantage is your luggage will be shipped in the same flight u r travelling and will be collected by u on the Toronto airport with ur regular luggage.

if u buy from emirates office it will cost CAD$175 per 32 KG piece. they are offering 10% discount if u buy online. so I m considering it.

any other person can shed light on it for us all.

Bhai no need to worry at Karachi airport. you have to look confident and calm. do not get tensed even if some security officer or fia or customs comes to u. talk in a positive calm and commanding tone.

is tarha ke log har jaga hote hain in Pakistan. aapka Bhai ya to 1st time bahar jaraha tha ya phir he got tensed due to this. sirf 2 kg ziada hona koi bari baat nahi hai.

23 kg per piece allow hai.....but I have packed 24 kg in each piece........aik aik kg ziada rakhna koi masla nahi........mai to over all 10 kg ziada leker jaraha hu.......har bag mai 1 ya 1.5 kg ziada. no need to worry or nothing of a big problem. itna margin airline deti hai. just tell them that we weight at home and it was less. your machines are not calibrated. itna bara issue nahi hota. sirf 2 kg to koi dekhta bhi nahi hai.

I m landing on April 8th 2015 in Toronto inshAllah.

I have booked Emirate A380 tickets. total cost for 2 adults and 1 child is PKR 243000.

2 pieces of luggage each 23 KG are allowed on each ticket.

my flight time is
2:00am night from karachi to dubai, flight time is 2:10 hours and there I have 5:10 hours stay on airport

then 9:55am in morning from dubai to Toronto, flight time is 13:50 hours.

total flight time it will take from Karachi to Toronto with stopover at Dubai 21:10 hrs.

How did you get tickets for 2 adults and 1 child for PKR 243,000? I'm checking emirates right now and it says PKR 277,760/- for 2 adults without child for May tickets.

Buddy emirates or sasti hogai hay. It's not around 85-86k. Chk flights fr end of May. I just chkd today.

Turkish is offering 71.6k fr 1st June and ard. 72.5k (not sure of exact amount) on 31st May. Contact thr ofc near Karachi Press Club. Airport numbers are not picked by anyone. U will get frustrated by calling them.

I need to carry household stuff like, crockery, clothes, blankets etc. I think if v ship in cartons thn it is counted as a separate unit (irrespective of dimensions and total weight). Correct me if I m wrong?

Shall chk wat u said and let u know if I found smthg new.

Dear can you please clarify, 32KG is in addition to normal 23 KG which you are allowed as per practice ?
