sister don't expect anything.........in Pakistan I checked a lot and after so many hours of searching I bought penta band gsm with quad band 3g support...........but here its not working on any carrier except rogers.

one customer lady came and she was carrying iPhone 5s from some European country....that only worked on fido network........not even on rogers and bell.......also not in wind.........so its quiet weird that some sets working on some networks and some not.......some on all and some not on any.......sometime the network is so costly that u r left to buy new phone.......so ur phone will be left useless.

really cant say anything.........kabhi iPhone 4 chal jata hai and 5s nahi..........kabhi opposite. my advice.......don't take chance

better be safe than to worry or regret.

else u can take chance........it might work for u.....cos not necessary that if it didn't worked for me so it wont for u also.

Could anybody share experience about DD from Burj Bank Pakistan made by some money exchanger.

How many days does the DD take to cash into the account in RBC or any bank in Canada?

How many days does Commerzbank Germany take to release it?

If you're just looking at a phone plan for talk and text, etc then try Chatr Wireless or Fido, Public Mobile, Mobilicity, Wind.

The "big 3" are Rogers, Bell and Telus.

Each one of them has cheaper pre-paid option such as koodo, chatr, fido, etc.

iphones work with rogers/chatr, etc. Fido is also rogers network.
i have Qmobile X900 using on Chatr network......but no data.......just use wifi only. I pay $35+tax, Canada-wide free talk and text and voicemail.

If you're looking for DATA Plans, it will be $90+ per month , no matter what phone from where! It's too costly and only they offer like 3-4GB. After that u pay more for any overage/usage.......so be carefull.

Pretty much a lot of places, malls, downtown stations, coffee shops, etc have free wifi these days....in Toronto area.

Wind is known for its incompatibility, u can get the phone from them.

Unlocked Phones are available widely at mobile shops, just buy if u need to and use sim of chosen carrier.

Check with the issuing bank for days to process.

Usually the banks can take 1-4 weeks to process and deposit into account (not sure, just heard). It can be faster if bank is German.

I had made draft from Burj Bank but since I m in Pakistan now so don't know abt time needed to cash draft.

yes only send your own details. medical thing is handled by iom themselves.

Alhamdulillah i had my medicals done at IOM karachi on 14th April 2015, how long will it take for them to upload the Medical results to CIC, by when should i expect the 3rd line updated in my ECAS and when can i possibly get PPR?

Dear Canadamylove and all others,

There is a question being asked to a few people, to show tickets at the time of landing. I am not able to understand that why are they asking for this and what action will they take, if someone has a return ticket in case and they are coming for a short landing, then what Immigration Officer will do?

If anyone in this forum, has observed this thing or came to know from someone in their contacts who have faced such scenario?

I am keen to know what immigration officers will do if someone is coming for a short landing and they are being asked by immigration officer to show the return tickets then what is usual result of that? Do they (immigration officer) still apply for PR cards or not? If not, then what alternate thing they do?

I am coming for short landing of 2 weeks and have come to know from a few people that sometimes, they do ask to show the ticket if its return then what is their course of action?

As question were asked to 2 people i know, but both of them were luckily coming for permanent landing and were having only one way tickets so they showed it to the officer. I want to know for the other case, seniors please share your experience.

it was ok....just the most tiring thing is journey itself.........14 hrs in flight........it will kill u.........I took 3 days to shed off the tiredness.
