@hussainkestrel any guesses on when should we be getting the passport request , I hope its soon but since the new semester will be starting may/june 2018 for most applicants I believe they wont provide any updates till then.

There was an applicant who missed the September intake. He got the passport submission request in October(that would be Feb in our case) after 3 weeks he got the request for an updated letter of acceptance, they sent the passport submission request however they took almost a month to send his passport back though they approved it in October.

So we can expect it in Feb and there is a possibility that they do not send our passports back because there are some applicants who leave for Canada early and cause a problem because they wont let you in at the port of entry if you arrive early hence the delay in dispatching the passport.

You have to submit all the required documents including educational documents at the time of submission. Sometimes they do ask for additional documents but most of the time they refuse the application and one of the reason is missing documents.

Thank u for ur time but in documents checklist they didnt ask for affidavit and Vac also didnt guide about affidavit

I have posted a checklist here on this thread. Do make sure, you are submitting all those documents. I agree there are things that are missing on the checklist but have to apply with them. Like police certificate is not mentioned but i have seen refusals on that. Same is the case with educational documents.

You have to submit two, one will be affidavit of financial proof where you'll write about the assets of your sponsor and his/her income and one is affidavit of support which will be a letter from your sponsor stating that he or she will sponsor you and your relation with him/her.

I just asked my university for a new Letter of Acceptance and paid the deferral fee.
