Dear Hassan,

I really appreciate the time you are spending on responding to the members here. I will mention what I gathered after going through the 10 pages and would need your confirmation for it so that others may also benefit from it.

• PCC is required for the last 10 years from the places you have lived for more than 6 months. Visits of less than 6 months don't need a PCC.
• PCC is not mandatory from the time you turned 18, however, the VO may ask for it at a later stage and you would like to be prepared for it.
• Make life simple for yourself to only put an address(es) where you have lived most of your time and get a PCC for it accordingly. No need to go into the details of all your addresses as comparison of PCC is done only with the address that you have provided.

Having said this, I have a couple of question of my own.

• Does IRCC ask for the NIC/NICOP Copy ?
• Does IRCC ask for the duration of stay in terms of month & year or do they also ask for the date, when the duration of stay is filled in the application.

My question is, i was born in islamabad and lived there my whole life untill i came to UAE in 2017, my permanent address on NICOP is of my village and temporary is of islamabad. Now do i need to get the PCC from my village also, although i never lived there??? it is basically my fathers birth place.

Hi, I have a question. I got my PCC made for the entire adult life based on the addresses i have lived. However, during that time, i moved to another city for 2 years to pursue my higher studies while my address was still in city A (and I have the PCC for City A for that time period as well). However, of course when i mention my degrees and personal activities for the last 10 years, my degree from City B comes up. Do i need to get a separate PCC from City B too as i was studying there or should the fact that my entire 10 years history is covered for in all my addresses enough?

I had a similar situation. What I did was got PCC for both my addresses, but I only put the address where I lived in, in my address history and explained in LOE that I'm not including the other other address mentioned on my PCC in my address history. Let's see how my application goes .

Hey, I am the similar situation. I have already done AOR. My PCC is from the year of birth, but for my, I have submitted the PCC only the date she was married to me. I have not submitted the PCC from year 18 till marriage time?

Although she is not accompanied by my PR application. But I have read on forums that if there is any disparency in their documents then my application could be rejected.

I have recently seen many cases that state their application is refused based on the PCC they provided.

What do you think I should do in this regard?

Hello. Did you get the PR? I have a similar case. Police only provided me PCC from marriage till date, and it doesn't cover last 10 years. I moved to Islamabad after getting married. My address on CNIC changed so my old city's police refuses to give me PCC now that my CNIC shows me the resident of Islamabad. I am not the main applicant, my husband is, who was born and has lived throughout in Islamabad, so no issues for him.

I am also in similar position. I have been living in UAE since 2008 but never spent more than 6 months in pakistan since then. my last visit was from September 2016 to Jan 2017 which is less than 6 months. So shall i get PCC until 2008 or 2017?

Hi guys,

I am confused and will be grateful if somebody can help clear it away. I am applying for PR from Canada inland. I came here from the US and in between I went to Pakistan for 2 weeks in August.

In July my plan wasn't to come to Pakistan and the plan was to go straight to Canada. So my dad got my PCC issued until July 2018 from Karachi which is where my permanent address is. Then I had to visit Karachi for 2 weeks in August but my PCC is only until July. So I am wondering if I need the pcc issued again for those 2 week visit?

Secondly, since I turned 18 I studied about 6 years in Lahore. I wanted a PCC for lahore but the police told me that any FIR issued anywhere in Pakistan against me will show up against my permanent address in Karachi, so I don't need the Lahore PCC (which I think is probably the hardest to obtain in Pakistan of you don't have direct family living there). So I am wondering if I should go ahead and submit just one PCC or getting the Lahore one is necessary and upload a letter of explanation for the PCC?

You need a new PCC from Karachi that is issued after you last left Pak.

if you r 29+ then last 10 years, if under 28 then after 18.
