I'm student of Master's programme at University of Ottawa. Currenlty am in Pakistan and have applied online study permit application for my 2 kids on July 13, 2014. So far I haven't got any response from CIC and their school will be starting from first week of September.

Any one guide what should I do? Should I write email to CIC or wait till when?

Expert advice pls.

I renewed my passport in december 2012 as my previous passport expired. The problem is I didn't submit my old expired passport with the application. Just wondering if this will affect application? VFS gerrys walon na aapko batana ki zehmat bhi nahi ki for old passport....brother sorry to say..chances are now slim...your application will be considered incomplete....dua karooo...VO na russian vodka piya hoo jab apki file uska pass hoo aur bus aapka kaam hoo jai

Any way tomorrow 8 weeks will be conpleted since I lodged my application. According to VAC 8 weeks is thr average processing time so I am thinking about sending a case specific enquiry. Is it a good idea?

Yes this is the right time to ask them that 8 weaks have been passed. Before this you have not sent any email them?

no brother, they (VAC) claim of 8 weeks processing time having no profound evidence and they just say verbally and there is no written proof of this claim. our standard processing time, according to CIC official website, is 11 weeks. i believe we can make this email after this time rest brother as u wish.
