Did you apply online? I seriously am starting to wonder if applying online was a folly on my part. It has been over 40 days in my case and no reply as yet.

i dont think that online is faster than paper here in pakistan .

40, 50 days seems to me refusal sign>>>??

In Canada guys. Everything was smooth.

At POE I was told I could work without waiting 6 months - A question I asked the officer. I met this Pakistani who got his in June and he was told by POE officer that he had to wait 6 months to be able to work off campus due to old rules.

Let's just hope for the best. I will wait for a reply till the 7th of August and then I guess I will be paying my NUST fee if I haven't heard from CIC by then.

I applied paper based, I'll wait till 15th August if no reply then I'm refunding my university fees from canada!

I also agree with waiting cut off line as of Aug. 7 or 8 .
If they don't send med. till then means they are not considering it at least for Sept.

Can someone here please tell me the email address or any means on which I can remind VO/embassy about my study permit and know its current status ?

I know the below stated link but can't use it as my application is within normal processing time frame.

I am getting really tensed as I didn't get medical request yet, my orientation is on last week of august. Need to arrange for accommodation and book ticket as well.

do i need to get another letter of acceptance from canadian institute for next intake..

and with that new LOA do i need to apply again in embassy.

hey all.. just got my study permit at Toronto POE .. but there ain't any thing written on it regarding work ? even in conditions section there isn't any restriction ? that means im under new rules and allowed to work? i had applied before june and was given TRV after June.

the people who received TRV on or after 1 June 2014(the date on visa) than he is eligible to work 20 hrs during classes and full time on vacations however you need to apply for social insurance number
