Any help will be appreciated,

I am a pakistan citizen, living in the UAE on a residence visa sponsored by my wife who is a Canadian citizen also living in the UAE on a teaching job contract. I applied for a visit visa on June 12 with the reason stated that my wife is expecting at the end of June (baby daughter is now born) and that we wish to visit family ( her parents and siblings) during the summer for 3 weeks since my wife gets the summer break off work. I don't have a job in the UAE and I have no ties with Pakistan. I have stayed in my application that my wife supports me financially which is the truth.

Are there chances that I will be approved for a visit visa? My daughter is a canadian citizen too and we're waiting for her passport to arrive next week. Does my case seem to be weak in some way? I am divorced and I mentioned this in my application too. Could this be the reason for delay in receiving a decision?

Your family ties to Canada will be stronger than those to the UAE/Pakistan.... and this could become a reason for refusal.

Also, as you are financially dependent on your wife + not employed + no UAE lease agreement + no ties to Pakistan.... this means your ties to the UAE are very weak.

IMO (and this is not what you'd like to hear), your chances of a TRV refusal are quite high. But who knows, you could get lucky and get a TRV

That's great. It's a 50 % chance either way. I guess I'll just have to wait it out and hope for the best. Thanks for your help.
