1- First timers can declare the amount in cash, bank draft, TC.
2- You can take max 10,000$ per family out of country.
3- No.
The best option is [80%-20%] ratio. 80% Bank draft and 20% cash. Carrying a lot of cash for the first time would not be a wise decision. If the bank is in same city for which draft has been made then it'd require 48 hours to encash otherwise max. 30+ days.

Dear qorax

Thanks a lot for providing ALL info in a same reach about FIRST LANDING. You are simply great as many of the followers shouts. Many of my questions are answers automatically just remaining still some:-

1. I purposely didn't take household luggage's at the first landing (only fulfilled the formalities within time limit). NOW I need to transfer huge amount of items during final shifting. In this case how can I process these personal belongings to transfer from UAE to Toronto without tax/ extra charges (considering 1st full landing), as I didn't avail this facility on our 1st landing and i don't keep any further reference (that may require) due to my ignorance/ nobody highlighted this item that time to me. Please guide me in this regard...

2. As I know I can carry 10,000X 3-person= 30,000 CAD without declaration to custom. If more than that amount what will be the procedure now- please help me to carry to take more amount as per my requirement without tax. Also, please guide me that my wife can take all of her jewelries and imitations without extra taxes/ charges. your assiatance is required...

Folks,
I wanna make correction in my above post. Each person can take 10,000$ cash out of country. I wrote 10,000$ per family which was wrong I'm afraid.

@Canada 1234
Please tell what will happen if a couple takes $12000 each ??

Airport authorities will not allow you that's illegal. Max. 10,000$ each person.

Pakistan Airport Authorities or Canada's ??
Do Pakistan Airport Authorities carry out a personnel check of cash being taken along ??

I went to Saudi Arabia last year, no one asked me for cash or checked me ??

Pakistan airport authorities can ask & check that how much money are you taking with. I guess this is a thumb rule everywhere but you should check it from saudia airport authorities too.

Eid Mubarak to everyone!

May you all have a wonderful and blessed Eid-Ul-Fitr! (Aameen)

Well you can hide as much as you can but if they find out they will fine you and ask you where you get the money from and even can seize the money. Don't risk. Especially if you hide in your checked in luggage or hand luggage x-rays machines will reveal that. So not worth taking more than what is allowed.

Airort authorites in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Canada or any where can ask first how much money you carrying and if you lie to them and later found out in possession of cash you can be in big trouble. If you went to Saudi Arabia and wasn't caught that was your luck. But luck may not favour you next time.

Thanks
