I want to ask you that in how much time the CHC complete Background Checks.
initially cic received my case in April 2009, then the case was transferred to CHC LDN on 30 June 2010
and lastly i have been asked by the VO that my file is undergoing Background Checks since August 2011,
now when these checks will be over so that they can send me MR.
Regards,

@Shaziabibi
No One can really when background check would be completed.
I have a similar case as yours and I became IN PROCESS in July 2011 and was asked for updated documents immediately and I send those in August 11 and since then I am waiting for MR. My address disappeared and appeared in Dec 11 and is now again missing since 27 Jan 12, and yesterday I got a reply from London VO that Background checks are underway for me but they cannot tell when they would be completed.

hi all,

@Cocknbull
Do you really think visiting a country needs back ground checks? I think not visiting but staying in a country for more then six months will require back ground checks and Police certificates. I visited USA once in the past four years and spend around two months in USA. I have also performed Umra once in Saudi Arabia in the past fours years.

What do you and seniors think ?

Not many counties, but since i am here in Belgium from since september, 2009 and doing my master.
The VO asked me for pcc and education trancript from belgium in june 2011.

Hi ss1886,

u r right staying in a country for more than 6 months results in more checks thats what i meant...wish u receive good news soon...

The excuse of prolong Background checks is actually one of the unjustified way to impose time bar, to slow down the processing of those cases that are selected as posterior (low priority), on the bases of their jobs description.

(A a point of view)

After submitted updated documents (since July 2011)
Same monotonous reply has been receiving that

"Your Application is awaiting the result of routine background checks"

todate.

since 27th jan 2012 i can see a lot of activity going on in CHC London especially regarding pakistani applicants..many people especially 2009 applicants are going in process and getting medicals.

keep ur fingers crossed 2009 and old applicants as sooner or later ur turn is coming...keep praying for urself...

and pls keep updating

all the best...

May be you are right. but alreadly they added a line about processing. now one thing is more when a file gets start processing, after that it is forwarded for B/G checks or before the addition of line the B/G checks are conducted?. Now at the moment my file is under going B/G checks as stated by the VO.

i think u got in process earlier in 2009 but then ur file was transferred to london and then priority was given to post june and ur case was put on hold...thats what i think bcz back gorund checks can't take more than 2 years to complete..i think they will start processing ur application again at a later date..

just my personal opinion

thx
