dont be that depressed, CIC is working fast on 13,000+ MI-2 applicants now and this seems to be completed by December this year, lots lots of Post June 2010 (MI-2) applicants are getting their MR's nowadays. CIC is also sending MR'r to a few prioritized Pre June 2010 and Pre Feb 2008 applicants as well. farima, a 2006 applicant got her MR last week. if CIC is done completing the task for Post June 2010 by this December ( considering their pace of sending MR's at the moment) , they will have nothing to do except working on Pre June 2008+Pre June 2010+MI-3 applications( no more than 6000-7000 is expected).

Analyzing all I can say, We pre June applicants will get our Meds by Summer/Fall 2012.

CIC has made a priority list.
according to the list they are sending MR's to Pre June 2010 and Pre Feb 2008 applicants.
The Priorities are apparently unfair, unknown but to many seniors the reasons are vivid.
They have injected 281,000 ( Primary applicants and their dependents) people in 2010 which is highest in Canada's history after 1956. Canada cannot accumulate lots of waiting applicants altogether in 2011 coz they dont have that much schools, hospitals, doctors, social services, funds. They gotta absorb the number of people they inject into Canada. Who wants his kid to wait for a seat in a school or wait for an indefinite period for an outdoor appointment from a doctor and that is too if there are enough doctors available. beside, it has been monitored that Immigrants and their dependents are not contributing to Canada by paying taxes as expected by CIC.

The so called In-Process Status with similar RBVO details inside has barely proved to be fruitful for Pre-June 2010 Pakistani Applicants. They're working on 2008 & 2009 Pakistani applicants at current and only a few have received MRs and case specific correspondences. Others are still waiting for their eggs to hatch!!

Given the scenario and their pace, i agree with eemmoo1.

Bad economy of USA is making the whole scenario worse for the PR aspirants.
95% of Canada's exports go to USA and bad economy of USA means less revenue to feed the Huge social services in Canada.

Other currencies are dependent on USD for their value.
More Dollars a country will have more will be its currency value.

Stock exchanges r still weaker worldwide and Gold prices are increasing.
People are taking money out of SEs and buying gold.
These rising gold prices are a market bubble as well. Same situation happened in Germany b4 WW2 and Hitler considered a specific community responsible for this. God save us from any negative outcomes of this financial crisis.

I somewhat agree with you but do excuse my limited knowledge in this regard.

Gold prices are increasing due to the similar reason, rumors about USD value declining hence people turn to the next stable commodity i.e. Gold and Silver, demand-supply rules makes their value increase. When and if USD becomes stable, i have a hunch Gold will get back to its original rates.

Well time will decide whether my comments are fluke or your hopes. But we have to think realistically. As per their responses to various case status inquiries, they have around 144,000 applicants waiting a decision on their applications. Which means around 350,000 + persons waiting for a PR status. And I believe a vast majority of these are applicants who have applied for FSW1 (means not under PNP and job offer category). And if you kindly look into the budget for 2011, their plan ranges from 74,000 to 80,400 persons and not applications. So until and unless there are drastic changes in the budget, we the prejune applicants will be in the waiting list for a couple of years.

Hi!

Do you have that line in your ecas that " we started processing your application on xyz date" If not then I think you can ask for withdrawl / refund of your fees as your application is not in process in reality. The best thing is to write to CHC London and ask them if it is possible to get a refund if you withdraw your application at this stage.

USD can fall because of inner situation in USA like mounting debts, job market, banking crisis etc. And off course it is falling these days and as other currencies / stock markets are dependant on it so they also falling. Obama announced some days ago USA can even go bankrupt. China seems to be most worried at the moment about this crisis because USA is its major exporter.

I agree with Mirza's post above that people are turning to Gold as the dollar is no more reliable any more and best thing to buy at the moment is Gold.
