In-Process, means they are going to go through your application....

Now if everything is COMPLETE, they will move forward with the Medical Request/RPRFee. If something is missing or if there is some ambiguity concerning exp., academics, birth, marriage etc etc, you will be asked to provide further documents or proof. And the Meds will get delayed.

Medicals, RPRFee and Police Certificates might be asked for in the same Letter, and may be some other docs as well. BUT only if everything else is fine.

Anyways, considering if everything is peachy, in your case, look for Post (Letter) within 3 weeks or so.

I think it varies case too case, I was asked for additional documents (updated PCC were not asked) through a letter send through by TCS as soon as I got In Process, I send them additional documents in August but I am yet to receive my medicals.

Dear seniors i am in difficult situation,i hope you can answer my query.

I have already send my police an medical certificate.I will deliver my baby in feb.if i receive my visa before this date and deliver in canada on my expenses (while my pr and health card still in process) will my baby be a canadian citizen ?

Your ans will be of great help to decide about my delivery place.

Yes off course it varies from case to case.

Like I said, if more supporting documents are needed...Then no medical request.

Probably you will get Medicals/RPRF/Police Certificates once they think everything else if fine, and VO is satisfied.

Dr. Delivering on your expense in Canada will cost you an arm and a leg. Unless you have insurance. Do check out about insurance (Travel Insurances) that cover Pregnancy. Otherwise goto a province that cover Health from day 1.

And I think the kid is going to be Canadian by birth.

As for Pakistan the Passport and Visa thing is 2 step process. I am not sure how long it will take for you to get the PR...So no idea if you are going to get it in time. You did medicals while being pregnant?

Anyways, best of luck and read this:

Here is one Yahoo! answer post:
When my daughter was born here, because we didn't have the government health care, we got the bill and had to submit it to our insurance company. Lucky for us the coverage was the same and they payed 100% of the amount because for the transport to the hospital, a 3 day hospital stay for my wife and daughter, all the meds, delivery room costs....the bill came out to be $65,000 CAD. If the required hospital stay is less...the bill will be less. If there are complications and the required stay is more....the bill will be more. Either way, IF you are able to make it here, be prepared for a big bill.
