Hi friends
Today I received reply from LVO about my new born son.
Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your enquiry.

A new dependent can be added during the processing of an application.

You must submit a new application form including this new dependent on the applicant’s form for permanent resident.

In order to add the child to an application for permanent residence at this office, we require the following documents:
• processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)
• your child’s birth certificate
• copy of your child’s valid passport
• 4 recent photographs of your child
• updated IMM0008 Generic for yourself and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse.
• a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” for your child ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp)

Copies of the original documents with original certified translations into English or French are required. All documents must be sent by mail.

Your child must undergo a medical examination. We will send you the appropriate form upon receipt of the documents listed above. Be aware that even non-accompanying dependants must undergo medical examinations.

Application forms and photo specifications are available on our Web site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3901e.pdf

Please note that the eligibility of new dependents will be assessed by the visa officer.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post to the applicant at the mailing address provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

Yours sincerely,

Hello Everyone,
well i agree with SS and others as well...
it seams that Canada is doing such a great job at random sampling our applications that it is very difficult to comprehend any kind of trend in what they are doing...
i think they are doing this random sampling on purpose.. this way no body knows whose file they are going to work on next..
i think based on our own background and timeline, we all start to make conclusions about what might be happening, but as we learn more about other applicants, none of our conclusions are correct...
so now i conclude that they just work on random files from the bunch, so somee of us get lucky and their application is files fast, while others have to wait their turn..
well inshallah things will be better for us...
i have waited a longg time, so Inshallah something good will happen now... :)

also everyone, i hav noticed that a lot of the applicant prior to Junbe 26, are getting rejection letters...
now it seams they want to get their applications out of the way...
Allah sub kay liye bhetaree karay...

thanx for remembering me in your prayers.. :)

Hi cockbull : Bro can u tell me that what type of background check they do after medical as i have seen many people who have not got theri ppr from approximately four to five months after medical and when they send e.mail to chc london they simply reply that they are awaiting the results of their background check and that they will contact them when they get it . I don't understand can u explain it.

Hi Naveed!

Dear to be honest this is a mystery. I have tried my best researching this forum and asking people but I couldn't get much info into it. I have observed for some people it is done much quicker compared to others for reasons I don't know. Please check this link

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/qorx-pmm-leon-are-background-checks-conducted-for-every-one-t96525.0.html

After medicals it is normally security check that takes place as back ground check is supposed to be done before getting medicals. In security check they will check if you are not a threat to Canada.

Please check qorax's thread

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/background-checks-explained-t39578.0.html

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services],

I would suggest you to wait for like 2-3 months at least and if you don't hear any news order your CAIPS. May Allah help all of us.

Thanks

after Medical normally they do security check...back ground check completed before MR
actually no one can predict the exact time .. i am afraid
some of them will get earlier and some needs to wait for long....

Hi Coming!

It is a government organisation and it is located in ottawa office. When you order CAIPS your visa office won't even know that you have ordered them. It is a good idea if you are waiting for long. You will know your next bring forward date when Immigration officer will review your case. Also you will be able to see what checks you have already cleared like security, criminal, etc.

It costs only $5 and it can be done by email if you have relative or friend living in Canada but if you have no one it would cost you $25-$40. Please check the following link

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t72568.0.html

If you need help contact me.

Thanks

Hi every body!

I would like people to comment....

After reading this forum I have reached a conclusion that back ground checks are not conducted for every applicant. I have seen some people getting medicals just days / weeks after going in process and for some it can take ages. I think for those who the CHC thinks are doubtful only the back ground checks are conducted for them. This is just my sole opinion and I can be wrong. Please comment if any body wants to...

Thanks
i agree,

just want to ask that after medical recieved line has been added to ecas, an they still peforme verification and background checks?

Regards,

Islamabad.

Hi

yesterday I received GCMS notes and nothing important was mentioned there. The information is almost the same when I ordered last time and they have still not started processing on my file. I received PER on 10th March, 2011 and it is going to be a year and I am still RBVO. Don't know what they want though I am post June 2010 applicant and it was supposed to be processed on early basis.

FEB 2009 applicant- received Med request, proof of funds request, etc!

Hi all.

I haven't been very active here. and i don't really understand the abbreviations used for the breakdown of application, But my background is that i applied in Feb 2009. Received my initial approval in a month. Then sent my documents in early august 2009. After that my documents were transferred in 2010 to london, and my e-cas status has been 'IN PROCESS' for almost two years!
I have a lawyer but have been unable to get much info about my case in all this time. I found the case enquiry web form in November, on the london office website and emailed them. They asked me a month later to update my application forms and background declaration for my husband and also send some reports on my pregnancy since i am expecting. I sent those on January 3rd 2012 and have now mashallah received my request for medical, proof of funds, permanent residence fee, updated police clearance and passport copies!
Can anyone give me some idea of when I can expect the landing papers/visa once i submit these? And is there a chance that I may still be sent a refusal? I applied as a college-level teacher, a category which doesn't exist anymore. Also my lawyer has told me that they have received information that the canadian commission intends to 'resolve' 2009 cases by April this year... so that is good news hopefully for those stuck in the 2009 application limbo.
And i would also like to know how much delay i can expect since my baby will inshallah be born in May after my medical is submitted... since that will add another family member.. if anyone has any info on that?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks.

Hi!

I tell you how to order GCMS. As you have a relative there it would cost you just $5. Its very easy. It can be done by email.

First fill this form, your (relative) requester will sign it.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

then fill this consent form and sign yourself

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Now you can even pay fees by your own credit card even if you are not living in Canada. Go to section C of the following form then follow other links given below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf (see section C)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/lineofbusiness.do

After paying fees you will get receipt. Print it out and fill it. Then scan it.

Ask your relative to provide his Canadian passport /PR card and his recent bill / bank statement as a proof that he is currently living in Canada.

Scan everything and ask him to send everything by email to

atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca

Thanks

Hi!

Dear I think you ordered too early because your case wasn't gone into "in process". Can you please post details here any way just for reference. Many thanks
