Unfortunately though, the Labor Board did not order the govt to do anything, they just simply stated that both sides need to come back with a new offer.

Good news???? :'(

I would say it's so-so, what's the point of having a labor board meeting if you can't enforce a ruling?

I think what it does is confirm the real intent of this government.

Hey guys,
This link is not working but any idea when is their next labour board meeting, All PAFSO members and Harper staff please finish this strike and have mercy on us.

The gov't appealed it with no binding arbitration: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/business/Government+files+notice+appeal+labour+board+faith+bargaining+ruling/8910888/story.html

That means that this is just going to keep going as it has been...

This is the game known as "Silly Buggers"

Just so long as any of you who are able to vote in the next election remember this act of contempt from the government.

How dumb can this Government be? Why would they "appeal" a decision that was less than a slap on the wrist by the PSLRB saying,
"Now guys, remember to play fairly."
All they did was "encourage" them to come to an agreement with PAFSO. What a waste of Canadian Taxpayers $$, yet they say the want to be fair to Taxpayers. Waste of both time and money for what? If they do win this appeal, what will change? Nothing. The PSLRB is still going to encourage the 2 sides to come to an agreement.

In fairness the fee to present your case to the PSLRB would have been paid out of the union coffers that are filled by the union dues of members. PAFSO having won the initial judgement will undoubtedly grieve that cost to the TB and win that through grievance arbitration. The government's appeal would be so they may win a settlement on costs or else it will just drag on forever.
