Job Description

A PMO analyst is also called the project management office analyst in a company. He helps a company complete short-term initiatives and long-term projects on time. He also has to conduct organizational studies and recommend process improvement suggestions in operating activities smoothly.As a PMO Analyst, your main responsibilities is to track progress of all orders coming into the Project Office. You'll also have to monitor progress, co-ordinate delivery dates, and maintain financial controls and systems including marking budgets for all project expenditure.


Job Duties

Keeping an eye on progress of all orders coming into the Project Office, monitoring progress and coordinating delivery dates.
Maintaining financial controls and systems for recording, monitoring, forecasting and budgeting of all project expenditure.
Fully supporting infrastructure and building projects including administration, organization of project meetings and minutes.
Organizing and facilitating closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project.
Should continue to update and improve project methods.
a weekly performance report and monthly Project Status report must be produced.
Must Support all Project and Programme Managers with day to day running of project admin \tasks.
Reviewing, collating, maintaining and highlighting changes to project plans frequently.

I think it is more of an operations profile. You should try searching the NOC 2011 document with keywords like 'IT operations/ project operations' to find out if there is any matching NOC code.

hey

my wife works in PMO's I think we went with 1221 (cant check at the moment) as an administration analyst. I know that completly undermines what you do as a job but it was the best we could find

Project Manager is NOC code 0213 , However I think PMO is categorized in NOC code 1221, check description below , it mostly match your responsibilities:

Administrative officers perform some or all of the following duties:

Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions

There is no specified code for project/programming/portfolio managers including PMO as of yet in the current NOC structure published. As this position is closely linked to a specified industry, you can fall under management of that industry NOC code. So project managers in construction would fall under construction managers, in IT under IT managers etc. However the project managers position has to be on a real management level, that is duties performed have to be equal to that of a manager. This is based on the research I have done on the topic and represents my personal opinion, I do not have any special data to prove this theory.

• Allocation of resources to the correct project against requirement and ensuring correct billability.
• Managing End to End Resource Utilization activity and working with Finance for invoice generation for clients.
• Expertise in complete project management operations, from conceptualization and requirements gathering to final billing phase.
• Leading Managing the recruitment and walk-in drives for different requirements for delivery unit with RMG/TMG.

i work in infrstructure management service and our clients is in Banking sector. We have been managing there E2E ITIL process lifecyle incident, SR, change and problem.

i think 1221 will be fine as suggested above whcih have JD as
