Probably you need to reach out to the apega cordinator to know of any delays. Calling helps, emails will get a typical response of 6 months processing time and all.
wrote him, and he said he was clueless! I called her, and she was also clueless. bunch of useless fellas!

Hello members,

Can I use international experience as an undergraduate teaching assistant as experience for applying for P.Eng with APEGA?

I taught engineering courses after MSc. and would like to confirm if this experience is acceptable.

I googled this and came accross this document from PEI:

Eligible experience • Teaching of engineering • include the applicable content of what you taught in order to demonstrate a competency • include the name of the course you taught and details on the applicable part of the course that fulfills the competency and how that content is applied in a real-world situation (the outcome. Details can be uploaded to the CBA system)

Thanks.

Thanks.

They said they would consider it. However, it's a grey area. If that work experience is within Canada, they may consider it. Moreover, the regulatory body will be very hard on the person who approves your International teaching experience.

Anyway, if you have 48 months of experience in engineering or a related field, you may skip to show any competency (CBA) for your teaching experience, though you may indicate that you were teaching for a specific time in your Work Record Validator List.

I hope this helps.
