Good day everyone. I studied Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience. I landed in Calgary in September 2022 and have already started filling application for registration as P.Eng. Course by Course evaluation was completed by WES. I completed the Competency self assessment and the feedback was good. Can I use the same informations to fill CBAT? My validators are all P. Eng in Nigeria. What document will they use to prove this to APEGA so that I will communicate it to them? Will I still need one year Canadian experience to complete the application?

You will still need one year of Canadian engineering experience.

Refer to the guide.

https://www.apega.ca/docs/default-source/pdfs/competency-based-assessment-user-guide.pdf?sfvrsn=e917d0f7_18

Any validator who is not a P.Eng. must explain how they are a senior practitioner in engineering. This may include providing their engineering qualification (engineering degree and professional designation). This information will be requested from the validator by the Applications Administrator during processing, which may include proof of academic and engineering credentials.
The scoring can be tough. First, always make sure to emphasize what you did. This is the sort of writing where using the word "I" a lot is encouraged. Then make sure you are demonstrating competency approaching what the public would want to see of one qualified for professional practice. If the work is at the technologist level, you may have trouble. If you can demonstrate a broad range of activities including working closely with other disciplines, that can get you that "4" score.

If your validators are all certified P.Eng. from Canada, then you may have an easier path to licensure than most of us. However like @Ed Doetzel says, you still need to carefully fill your assessment and emphasize what you did in the scenario presented that demonstrates the specific competence you are answering.

Does APEGA send an overall reference form to the validators after reviewing the CBATs?
From the guide:

https://www.apega.ca/docs/default-source/pdfs/competency-based-assessment-user-guide.pdf?sfvrsn=e917d0f7_18

What will my References receive?

The References will receive one form to confirm the employment timelines for each of the work periods the Applicant has listed. This may be someone in an HR department or another manager that can verify the Applicant’s employment history within each organization they are referencing.

What will my Validators receive?

Validators will receive the same number of forms as competencies they are listed for to corroborate the situation, action, outcome and self-rating provided by the Applicant.

Please remember, for example: if you have a validator who is asked to validate 16 different competencies, that validator will receive an email containing 16 links to each individual competency page. Please make sure to discuss this with your Validators to make them aware.

Occasionally, there may be a need to change Validators throughout the process. Applicants can manage this process independently until all the Validator Response Forms (VRFs) have been submitted. Changes to Validators need to be completed in both the WRVL and CBAT forms and once the change is complete applicants will need to resubmit their e-Form. Once all competency pages have been received and your application is processing, one final summary/confirmation email will be sent to each validator (Validator Overall Reference Form – VORF). This needs to be completed for your application to continue.

Thanks, so my validators will receive another form (VORF) to complete later in the process. The only thing I was wondering was how many times I had to track my validators :S
Yeah, that seems like a PIA for sure. I think APEGA is looking to make improvements to the members.apega.ca subdomain. I also know that APEGA is working towards harmonization with EGBC at least according to EGBC (Item 6 in minutes):

https://www.egbc.ca/getmedia/0f934c31-7de2-44e9-82f4-a29da7460921/OPEN-PKG-9-24-21.pdf.aspx

Might come w/ process improvements or not. Might not impact your application but maybe for future readers of this forum (hi!).

Hello Everyone, I would like to ask for some guidance with regard to the current APEGA EIT processing time. I submitted a bachelor's in Civil Engineering transcript from a NON-CEAB and a Masters in Transportation Engineering transcript from a CEAB. At the moment my application is under internal review and I would like to know how this stage of the process takes?.....and what other stages my application will have to go through before the Board of Examiners make their final decision
