OWP - How long I can stay in my home country?

Hello all,

I have a valid open work permit for 4 years. I visited Canada in the month of September and stayed there for nearly 20 days (Non-work related). Then I returned to my home country due to my personal circumstance. I would like to know how long I can stay in my home country? Also, Is there any rule like that I should not stay away from Canada for a certain period of time?

1. As long as you want. I find an open 4 year work permit pretty unusual though,
