I went through cic website throroughtly but without success so I hope someone can clear my concern. I've applied for 2 years full time program at SAIT as international student cos I am Slovak Republic citizen. One of addmission requirements is english profeciency so before entering into 2 years program I have to take CLBA test immediately after my arrival to Calgary. In case I will not pass CLBA test SAIT English foundation program (ELF) will be required (as preparation study before entering into 2 years carrier program).
That's why I am enrolled firstly to ELF program with acceptance letter for ELF 1 year long, full time study, with note ''after completing ELF program student intends to continue in 2years full time carrier study".
My question is :
I would like to come to Canada with my common-law partner and I am not sure, if she is eligible to apply for OWP if I will get my study permit initially for mentioned preparational program ? In other words, is ELF program considered as studies at post-secondary institution?
