OWP for Spouse after BOWP

Hi all,

My timeline: Sent CEC App: Oct 25, 2013; Received AOR: Nov 29, 2013; NOC B: 6216; Will apply for BOWP: Feb 22, 2013;

If I resign from my skilled job after I receive my BOWP and end up in semi skilled position, will my wife be able to apply for open work permit and my kids, student permit on the basis of my BOWP?? or do I need to look for a job that is skilled under NOC A,B or 0 in order for my family to extend their status?

Presuming you are the primary applicant under CEC & have included your family already in your application, you can apply for your wife's open WP along with yours when you apply for bridging open WP. This will ensure she will get open WP along with yours.

No, if you are working in a semi skilled position, your spouse will not be eligible for a SOWP.
