OWP extension sent back incomplete, did not pay the new "open work permit fee"

Hello

my open work permit extension was sent back incomplete because i did not know about the new open work permit fee ($100 extra on top of the $155 application fee)

my question is: Do i just pay the fee and send them the IMM5710 form they sent back to me? or do i have to resend all documents? they did not send back all the documents i sent them so are they storing them there?

Called CIC and he said because its been 90 days the forms need to be filled out again? does that make sence? he said i can use the same payments.

anyone else been in this situation?

1. What type of work permit did you apply for? PGWP?
2. Were you asked to pay $100? If yes, when was that?
3. When exactly was your application denied?
4. Were you asked to apply for restoration of status?

1. extension of open work permit while common law application is being processed
2. Yes, received letter 20th june saying fee not paid
3. in the letter on 20th june it was sent back "in complete" because the additional fee was not included
4. no, to resubmit form (but is this the complete package or the one form they sent back)

my open work permit is still current till oct 2015

I suggest you check to see the exact instructions you were given by CIC. Follow them correctly and pay your fees.

so I called again and got someone a bit more helpful, the application has been cancelled and I have to start over again because of a fee that did not exist when I filled out the application.

not happy about it getting cancelled for a fee that did not exist, they could have at least sent back all my documents.

anyone have an email for formal complaints, this does not seem fair. if it was done online they would just request the fee not cancel the application

Date and signed form 2nd Feb and paid fees and sent 16th feb.

called today and was told my application was canceled

not happy that its cancelled for a fee that didn't exist when i sent the application
