OWP and Pr

Hey guys,

We submitted our pr in November and my visa is about to expire in one day and I have sent off my OWP application (separately). If I have sent it am I still ok for implied status? Or should I apply for a visitor visa?

Did you apply inland or outland? Assuming you applied inland, your OWP should have been approved by now (and you also should have submitted it in the same application package as your PR application). I would personally extend your visitor status to be safe. But perhaps others have different opinions.

It was inland. I thought I could apply for OWP at a later date. but I am currently doing my visitor status. It wont hurt will it?

This link says you have an implied status only if you have sent both the PR and the OWP applications at the same time. So I guess you better apply for the extension.

I believe as long as u have applied for the OWP and you also have application in process. You remain under implied status until otherwise or you hear anything back from CIC
