Yes it does, positive LMIA and job offer gives you 50 or 200 Points depending on your NOC Code for the job.

Your post is very informative for many people planning to apply for owner operator category. I am 45 years old businessman with 20 years business experience. I have done A levels from cambridge university but it is less education for canada i have 3 kids do you think i can get owner operator work permit i can invest good amount of money in any running or new business in canada .i dont have valid visit visa so is it possible to start the process from my country Do you think after 1 year of running business i can qualify for PR with this much age even if i invest good amount of money . I have hired an ICCRC approved consultant but i think you can advise me better as you have done extensive research on owner operator category. Will be waiting for your reply and help
Without owner operator LMIA job offer, how many points you get in Express entry, thats the big question. If it is over 270, you can try to get 200 points for Job offer from your own business. Those 200 points will get you to 470 which is pretty good for express entry.
If you are lacking some points, you can go to canada on a work permit and while running a business you can study for first year, this will give you extra points in 2 more categories
1) 1 year study in canada.
2) 1 year work experience in canada.
This all comes down the fact, how many points you have at this age without job offer.
Finally, yes it is possible to apply for everything while in your home country and without getting a valid visit visa. If you go through my post, i was denied a visit visa and i have pretty strong travel history (US, UK, Australia, Japan, Europe) and very solid financials in my home country, but i guess sometimes they do make mistakes, which is understandable.

i am 45 years old so points for age is nil now and secondly my education is not enough so i dont think are much points for education . if i calculate my points it will be around 150 . but the consultant is saying that i can still apply for PR He know that how to increase the CRS Score but i dont understand that how can i get enough score for express entry after 1 years even i get 200 point for job offer . really very confused about that .
secondly is there any investment limit for money that how much money we have to invest and is there any particular area specified where we have to do the investment . the consultant is saying 300k cad i have invest in remote area of ontario to fulfill requirement for PR .

Looks like he is talking about complete different programs and instead of getting LMIA for 200 points. There are some agricultural programs that can get you straight PR without having to worry about points, but the thing is, there are so many bad consultants who just want to show you some hope and take money.
i would recommend asking him in details what program and plan of action and then post it here on the forum to see if thats true.

Applied for TRV again since its been over 6 months and was refused again. This one is tricky because in the last 6 months i ended up traveling to US, Europe, Japan, UK and few other countries but my ground of refusal was:
We do not believe you will come back to your home country, based on the reason you provided for your trip.
Anyways, a little disappointed but its not the end of the world. I am still hoping for the positive LMIA and then work permit and then PR in next year or so.
Another small update, called Service Canada and was told case officer has been assigned to the file. This is a good sign, because usually once case officer is assigned, decision is made within a month or so. We are on track for 85 business days, which should be around January 20th

I have clearly asked him about the program he is saying that its owner operator Lmia that is the program also mentioned in his retainer agreement. I have checked regarding investment requirements for owner operator category on many website and nothing has been written regarding amount of investment. But consultant is saying it should be 300K cad . Do you think if i get owner operator work permit for 2 years after that there is any other way to apply for PR other than express entry because i dont think my crs score will be around 470 still if i get 200 point for job offer . Do you think if i get onwer operator lmia i can apply for pnp program after 1 years of starting business and get nomination from the province. Because i dont think there is any other way to get PR if i cant get nomination from pnp .nomination can only give you 600 points.

Quite honestly, i do not know that. You will have to check with couple of other consultants to cross verify. Most of them are happy to do a free initial call to clear your doubts.

First I want to thank you for you amazing working sharing your experience. I doing the something was you doing, but a little different. I'm already in Canada holding a open work permit. But I dont enough points to qualify for PR though express entry. So I decided do my own lmia to get the points I need. I have a little advantage was I can work in canada for 1 more year. I want to use this year to create and run my bussiness. I decided to do by my own, I already have dealt with imigration before and was easy for me. My biggest problem now is the bussiness plan, was I dont have any clue how to do it. I read all your history and I know you didnt write it. This document are very personal, I really respect that, but if could share some parts with me, with blurring parts so I cant know your personal information, I would be grateful to you to rest of my life. I just need some guides to build my own business plan, I got some help from my family to write it, but we need some lights to make the best we can. I know this is very important for the application.
