Overstayed Tourist Visa

I Have overstayed my Tourist Visa by 4 years and I just want to go back home to Australia, Im not interested in ever coming back to Canada.
My Question is can I just book a flight and leave or will they detain me from leaving at the Airport??

You can simply leave Canada. Canada has no exit controls. Just make sure your Aussie passport is valid.
