Hello, hope everyone's having a great summer.
Long story short, my husband overstayed after his study permit expired.
we are filling out his personal history and obviously we want to be honest about his overstay.
would it be better if we include an explanation letter of his overstay to make our case strong?
someone suggested not to bother, but I don't think Canadian government is that clumsy not to notice it haha
Also, we've been married for 2 months now and he left Canada right after we got married.
His family was providing his finance during his overstay. Therefore, I did not give him any kind of financial support before/after our marriage.
For now, he doesn't need my support since he's working part-time and living with his parents back home.
Would it be a bad idea if we say no on question#30 on IMM5409??
it's the one that asks about whether I'm providing financial support or not. If so, how much/often etc.
we don't want to lie....but not sure what to do.
Of course, once his app is approved and he moves back to Canada, I'll be supporting him financially.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
