Have you all heard about the new immigration policy that Trudeau unveils??
As part of that, For family reunification, he requested that IRCC should implement a program to grant temporary residence to oversea spouses and children while their PR application is being processed??
Does this mean that oversea spouses and children will have 90% chances of getting a visitors visa if they apply while PR application is ongoing??

its going to take a while before this kicks in. Yes more chances for visit visa

Anyone with their application number tried checking their application on ecas lately?

We tried ours today and the application came up as:
'submitted Feb,2020 and being processed since 2021 February'.

even though we sent another application as per request later in August, 2021.

Got the application number in a response from Accra office webform in answer to a request for information on the August application.
Anyone with an idea why we are seeing details for the first application though?

Hi Everyone. I got an update in my account about the Medical on 23rd Dec. But the issue is my Lawyer in Canada is handling my case and she missed the email from IRCC and I got my letter today i.e., 5th January, from her. The letter includes that ‘ You are required to undergo the medical examination within 30 days of the date of this letter’ and I got an appointment for 20th January due to excessive workload on medical centre in Pakistan. The deadline is 21st January if we calculate from 23rd December. Is that okay or I’ve to inform the IRCC.

No UCI number yet, haven't come across one anywhere. Just application number.

I believe it's still okay. You still get to have the medical done before the due date.

Raise the necessary webform(to the office in charge of your application) and upload the proof the moment you complete your medicals.
The representative should also write to the appropriate office immediately to request for more time citing there might be delays in getting an earlier appointment.

All said, I think you are still okay.
