all system is crashed due to Covid. nothing is clear nothing is predictable. just must be positive nothing else.
Well thats very concerning i sent my file on 18 of march it seems its hopeless.!
It shouldnt take long, people get them both together, some get them a day a part and some couple of days, biometric is to check criminality
Same here, sent docs to LVO on October 2020. Nothing so far. Followed thru Local MP and they confirmed the forms were received at LVO but initial assessment has not been started.
Hard to say! I submitted my family's applications since October, 2020 and got acknowledgement receipt from Pretoria office, South Africa in November, 2020. Wife had her biometrics in in October. But till now, no medical request or any update....
My friend got biometric and medical requests for her two children.(pretoria office)Hopefully approval comes next

I’m guessing they are doing security check which should be done next month am guessing. It takes 3-6mo from what I read here. My spouse did biometrics Jan2021 so I’m not expecting anything until April to July. Keep us updated pls

if you want to claim refugee status at the port of entry in canada and you havent received the authorized letter but do have an visitor visa which is about to expire in a month. Is it still possible that one can travel providing the strong claim and showing the proof of the request for the authorization letter. Note: the person is also considered to be the extended family member.
