You still have to add them whether they are included in the PR application or not.
There’s a space that will ask if they’re traveling to Canada with you. Just say ‘already in Canada’ if the person is in Canada or answer as appropriate.

As a dependent of a protected person. I did that in the forms where we first applied along with in Canada family memebers. Later when we got request to fill the same forms again, i contacted ircc theough a webform to ask if i need to add my family members again to 008 generic form. They said no.
However, the same info is included on the other form *additional family info*

As long as you had spouse after you became PP and became PR. If you had spouse before, then you are not sponsoring your spouse but your spouse becomes your dependant in your application for family reunion and application will be processed at the same time as yours, though with two different offices after principal applicant is finalized. Family Class is by way of sponsorship. Hope this clarifies
But you are dependant of protected person, but later you wrote if you need to add your family members again. Confused. Principal applicants should add you as dependant in imm 008, not dependant adding other family members. Unless if i am missing something

Actually we got confused when we first submitted the PR application. In my in canada spouse 008 I was added as a dependant. And another 008 for my self as the main applicant. Don't know if that was the correct thing to do.
After in canada PR was approved. we got the checklist for out of canada application (myself) where we filled the same forms again.
However. now My spouse is already PR and I am waiting. Just got the medical and bimetric request recently.

Its very long time. but..
this number is generated automatically based on how long it took them to process application in the past 6 months (as stated on ircc website) the fact that this number is increasing now, means more of backloged applications were stuck for almost 50 months actually just got finilized and caused this number to hike. its kinda a relief actually to see that the number changes at least.

you mean we should see high numbers for a period and then over the months it will decrease?

I think you have reached 50 months!
According to IRCC website for dependents:
Your processing time starts the day we receive the protected person’s complete application.
You have told that your wife became PR in 2020. At what time did she send PR application? May be in 2019.
If my estimate is correct, it is around 4 years for your application (not your wife).
