I talked to IRCC today, they say 18 months approximately these days, but no guarantees

Time starts when they receive the complete application

I would try to raise a webform and explain to them (Visa Officer) nicely with a touch of humanitarian and emotional ground, how you are suffering alone here and how those impacting your life and how your partner is suffering there and how those impacting his life and finish with some nice words.

I already sent a email with humanitarian and emotional ground but no reply from them yet.....

Mine was showing “Application Received” since submitted almost a year ago.. last month it turned to “In Process”

Meanwhile when you click on the “Application Received”, it says that they started processing my application in November, 2021. It’s all confusing.

You should order GCMS notes for your dependants to see what is going on

You can call ircc and ask them about eligibility and background provided it is being processed here otherwise send a webform and ask if its being processed outside Canada

Finally got decision made and passport request yesterday. The journey is over now.

Here is my complete timeline

Medical Request April 11, 2022
Decision made and copr June 6, 2022
PR card received July 15, 2022

Application received July 30, 2021

Started Processing and asked for documents Dec 9, 2021
Pre-Arrival April 10, 2022

Medical not received letter June 7, 2022
Medical proof sent June 8, 2022
Decision made and passport request December 12, 2022
