Over 6mths delay after medicals (SW)

Dear all,
the processing of my file was delayed for 6 mths after medicals, which is abnormally high for the Moscow office.
Recently received CAIPS shows medicals passed and after receipt of my banks statement (proof-of-funds) reads the following:
"June-2008: PLSE REVIEW APPLCTS BK STMT AND WORK EXP".
Nothing has happened thereafter. Any ideas as to what the delay might be based on the CAIPS last wording?

They are reviewing your background (probably a security check) and work experience you claimed for authenticity. Sometimes depending on your nationality security background checks can be a problem ...
in addition if there is reason to question your work experience this could also cause a delay.
You can send them an email stating your worries about your medicals expiring and see what their response is. At least that way when you get the PR, you can make an argument for more time since the delay was from processing. Goodluck
