You actually haven’t been waiting for 2 years for sponsorship processing. You needed to wait for your H&C case to retain your PR before the sponsorship was even considered and that was only resolved in November 2020.

Thank you canuck78! This is fair.
I am just thinking can I compare myself timeline to those normal outland cases submitted November or December 2020? Which I see they are already having progress. Or does my case still need special complex treatment which could take forever...

Knowing now that you had to wait for H&C to retain your PR status to be eligible to sponsor, yours is a complex case that will almost definitely take longer.

Yah, that’s why I was not complaining too much but looking for what we can do...

My PR card renewal was approved in February 2020(according to
IRCC call centre) and was completely resolved in November 2020 (an email letter from IRCC confirming I am in compliance to be issued a new card and card mailed to my address) I have submitted the letter and photocopy of my new card to my family case via web form.

I know my case was a complex one, just don’t know if my case could get to normal after November 2020, that I can refer to
November case timeline? Or it will just stay in Complex longer ever...

Appreciate if anyone knows or have similar experience who may share timeline!
Thank you!

Should be similar to other November 2020 cases.

Hi, I just have one more question. If my family is coming to Canada on TRV and wait for our case here, can they book one way air ticket? Will one way ticket be an issue when entering Canada?

Ticket needs to be return if someone is traveling on a TRV. Most airlines will refuse boarding with just a one way ticket.
